According to Tesla, should the 48v battery be discharged (so you can't enable the HV battery), you can jump-start with 12v or 48v. They have additional circuitry to detect the voltage, and if 12v, step it up to 48v. Very clever!
Very useful. But yeah, DC-DC converters like this are a commodity item. The surprise to me is not that it could be done, but that Tesla actually did something HELPFUL two owners/service people.
My CT ran out of juice, tried jumping it but didn’t work so replaced the 48 volt battery and couldn’t get it to power up to charge, I did a hard reset. Still in limp mode and can’t get it to charge
Did anyone else have any similar issues and advice on what is required to get charging again
