Fixed!!!: Tesla model 3 2018 passenger side C pillar and rail clicking sound

2018 LR RWD Model 3.

This car has consistently made a clicking sound from the right rear passenger area. I was able to narrow this down to the upper C pillar or the rail above it.

Tesla service tried to fix this twice, but were unsuccessful.

I was able to resolve this over a period of a few days...

Model 3 Highland base model Demo Drive - Improvements and Setbacks compared to 2018 Model 3

I drove the Model 3 Highland base model today in Burbank CA, and I used to own and drive 2018 Model 3 LR RWD for 4 years.

OVERALL DRIVING IMPRESSION:
The car drives AWESOME. Equally as good as Legacy Model 3. It's so fun. Handling and responsiveness are VERY good. A bit slow 0 to 20mph, but fa...

New 2022 MS LR owner, very happy compared with M3

Very new to Tesla ownership (but loads experience with Teslas - many family members have them), just purchased a 2020 M3 LR a couple weeks ago for my daily driver mainly because I wanted a car to occupy my outside parking spot as an added monitoring system and (hopefully) crime deterrent with sentry...

I recently discovered this interesting two-part moderated discussion/debate (originally broadcast October 2023). The show is called "Energy Switch" (produced in Austin, Texas) and is seen on the PBS (public TV) network.

Replacing Tesla Roadster 12V battery

I was surprised there were not many posts to replace the Tesla Roadster 12 volt battery, so I thought I would share my learnings to help others since it must be done every 2 to 3 years.

The local Tesla service center in Austin could not provide me a price, so I decided to do it myself this time.

24 Model 3 SR "Highland" review from an enthusiast's POV

We own and love a "tent built" 2019 SR+. Every version of a 2019 Model 3 was cross-shopped with every available wheel and tire option. Settled on the SR+ on 19 inch wheels for the additional steering feel and responsiveness compared to the other models. Specifically, the weight of the front drive un...

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

Just like a boat.…..the day I bought my Plaid, and the day…..well you know how it goes.

I sold my Plaid to Carvana. Wrote them a check for $27,000 because I paid $128k for it new just over two years ago, and now it’s only worth $53,000. Tesla depreciation.

I LOVED the Plaid, when it wasn’t in the ...

Model 3 maintenance

Although the Model 3 requires minimal maintenance, I've found one thing that largely seems to have been overlooked.
The intakes below the front bumper when open , allow unfiltered air to pass over the fins of the aircon radiators. But unlike on my previous cars, where they were vertically mounted an...

Repairing Gen 2 Wall connector Delta terminal block

I grabbed a well-used Gen 2 Wall Connector with a known bad terminal block pretty cheap hoping that I could repair it. Turns out it's not that hard.
Although I have a model 3, I figured this was the best place to post this as this 80A Wall Connector is likely only used by older Model S/X owners.

First Drive with a Steering Wheel on a Model S

All,

My 2023 Model S Plaid is in the shop for a track package install, and the loaner vehicle Tesla provided me is a 2023 Model S with a steering wheel. I have seen countless threads on steering with a yoke versus steering with a standard round(ish) steering wheel, and I am finally able to make an...

Only 3% battery degradation on M3LR (E5D battery) after +3 years and 75.000 Km!

Last night I run for the first time the build in Battery Health test from service mode on my +3 years old Tesla M3 Long Range (E5D battery) and +75.000 Km. I got home at around 21:20 with 5% SOC so I said this is a good moment to kick the test. I recorded data with Scan My Tesla during the test and ...
