New J1772 Wall Connector Installed, may have made the wrong decision

So one thing to remember with the adapter is you have to make sure the charge port light is glowing white. This means the port is unlocked. So my routine on the Juicebox typically is: 1) press and release the unlock button on the charger plug 2) push gently on the plug back in to make sure...

CCS - buy now or wait?

Good question, and not that I'm seeing what pin a thermistor would connect to anywhere anywhere. I did find the specs of a CCS1 plug you could buy, and it included a pt1000 style temperature sensor. It could just be breaking / disconnecting the prox pin?

CCS - buy now or wait?

I think the most interesting bit of that is: There is a provision for a temperature sensor in the ccs1 connector. It entirely possible - likely even - that this adapter is still passive and just passing along temperature readings via the sensor, and Tesla is doing the throttling based on...

2021 MYP Unable to AC charge

So in my unprofessional opinion it's probably your charge port ecu and you're going to need to do a service ticket, but I'm really curious if your car would charge successfully on another 40 or 48A L2 charger.

    Leviton 14-50 Works, Bryant 14-50 Doesn't - Same Wiring

Bryant and Hubbel are the made by the same company? I do have to wonder if there might be some counterfeits floating around though. I bought a Bryant from Grainger and it's been rock solid.

2021 MYP Unable to AC charge

What amps does the Leaf charge at? I would guess 32A or so? what is your Wallbox set up for? I assume 40 or 48? That is possibly one difference. However, in your other thread you mentioned another model Y came over and charged successfully with your wallbox at your home? And your car...

2021 MYP Unable to AC charge

Our electric company doesn't change rates based on peak times either. But I have switched to scheduled charging before going on a trip so that the car is at 100% before we depart in the morning, and after returning home it took me a second to figure out why it wasn't charging after plugging...

2021 MYP Unable to AC charge

Is it possible you have scheduled charging enabled? Scheduled charger is location based, which would be a possible explanation for you being able to charge at work but it stops charging at home, and why your EVSE charges another car (the Leaf). Just a stab in the dark.

    Charging equipment not recognized

Well that's useful information. So has your mobile connector ever worked? Did you happen to see if your mobile connector worked on the neighbor's 14-50 plug - assuming that's what they're using?

    Charging equipment not recognized

Do you have a friend nearby with an EVSE? Might be good to rule out the mobile connector.

Supercharger - Chattanooga, TN - Hamilton Place

We used this supercharger twice several weeks ago, on the way to and coming back from blue ridge. It's a really nice location!

    Woo! I ordered one today.

Juicebox not charging new Model Y

I think we're basically saying the same thing, either way I'm agreeing with you. It's possible the Y is revealing a problem that's been there all along, but the built-in bmw charger wasn't thirsty enough to stress the circuit. At any rate, I suspect we'll never determine if the OP got this...

Juicebox not charging new Model Y

Several things here: You can absolutely set the charge limit with a non-wifi juicebox: https://support-emobility.enelx.com/hc/en-us/articles/212280768-JuiceBox-Classic-Non-Networked- There is a trim pot inside. Second, the charging speed negotiated by your Prius Prime has nothing to do with...

Juicebox not charging new Model Y

I'd contact Juicebox support, even though you're well outside of warranty I bet they'd have some troubleshooting tips at least. We charge our Y daily with a Juicebox 40, though a newer revision (2021 model).
