Model S Plaid - One Year Later

any updates on this? i actually had both of these pop up this morning on my way to work... restarted and messed around a bit and they went away, but i'm sure they'll be back.

    PPF over ultrasonic sensors

Any updates on this? If it cleared, how long did it take? I’m going on 10 days post install and it’s still erroring out… not a big deal around town, but won’t auto lane change on the freeway.

Refreshed Model S Front License Plate Holder

The bigger issue is drag… I heard it reduces 0-60 by .01 and decreases range by 10 miles depending on how you drive it ;)

Performance of Refreshed MSLR vs. others

Anyone with direct experience between a M3P and an S LR? I know the S has more balls when already rolling, but how’s the overall feel vs the M3p? I prioritize performance over comfort… Need to replace my M3P and debating between an S LR or another M3P. I think my ideal car would be a model 3...

Does it make sense to get white interior if we have two kids in car seats?

Dirt shows on white more than black… but it’s easily handled. If a quick wipe down every week or 2 is too much, get the black. The point is if someone prefers the look of white they shouldn’t be deterred out of a false fear of permanent stains and impossible maintenance when it’s simply not...

Does it make sense to get white interior if we have two kids in car seats?

Had white seats from the time my daughter was a newborn till the car was totaled at 3.5 years… the seats are highly durable and easy to maintain. Dirt and stains show more than on black, but the cleanup is easy… so you may end up wiping them down or sweeping them off more often, but I haven’t...

    Front end damage… totaled?

Is the S LR acceleration discernibly faster by seat of pants metrics?

    Front end damage… totaled?

I could use the space, and the S should have power benefits especially at speed… but not sure if it’s worth the extra cash. It would be nice not having a clone at every light though… seems like 3’s and Y’s are taking over the world.

    Front end damage… totaled?

I may be biased, but F*ck Statefarm.

    Front end damage… totaled?

yes... debating on another Performance 3 or S LR... would love the Plaid, but that's the price of 2 M3P's and can't justify it after these last couple rounds of price increases. As much as i loved my M3P, I wish a new one had more performance since it's essentially the same car as my old one.

    Front end damage… totaled?

AAA (the at fault insurance) has been covering the rental... i thought going though my insurance was the way to go since I wasn't at fault and I'd need someone on my side... clearly not the case. Not sure it would have been any better going directly to AAA, but it certainly couldn't have been...

    Front end damage… totaled?

After nearly 5 months, the car has finally been totaled! StateFarm did EVERYTHING in it's power to NOT total the car, but in the end, they ended up spending a lot more money trying to fix the car before totaling out. Ridiculous experience every step of the way, but at least they came around to...

    Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY

FWIW, the preview image on the Tesla order page still shows the P lower than the other variants.

    Model Year 2022 Refresh M3/MY

Hairpin motor should be more efficient... i'm hoping it will output more power. make it faster than the 3 then maybe.

Going from 2019 M3P stealth to 2022 LR with boost thoughts.

I want more power, not less! The other incremental improvements are nice, but the acceleration is why I purchased my P. As I'm looking for another car to replace my 2018, I'm not sure I'd be happy getting into another M3P much less a slower variant of the Model 3. But, you know you... slower...
