    Side Repeater Camera - disconnect/reconnect - calibrate?

Also - I get that it's not entirely flush - but I shouldn't be able to see the top inner housing of the camera when looking down at it.

    Side Repeater Camera - disconnect/reconnect - calibrate?

Not true. Every fender camera I've seen - ebay, internet, model 3 parts catalog, etc. - does not have upper clips ... they have two slanted projections on top. To remove, you push the bottom and side clips, push out the camera housing from the bottom, then the top follows.

    Side Repeater Camera - disconnect/reconnect - calibrate?

The current camera is fine - it's just that it no longer sits flush to the fender on the top ... I've tried myself (via the help of youtube videos) to take out then reinstall .. but for some reason - can't get it to totally seat properly. I think it's a poor design - i.e., the top part of the...

    Side Repeater Camera - disconnect/reconnect - calibrate?

Had a body repair by what I thought was a great autobody shop (and tesla approved/certified), and they screwed up around the opening for the camera and might have damaged the camera housing itself. I've tried a few times to get them to repair - and they just don't do a good job. So - I'm going...

    Body Shop Cannot Preorder Parts

From my experience - parts were ordered and delivered within days (lower NY state). I have two Tesla service centers within 30 min of me. Had the repair done at a Tesla approved/certified shop.

    Side Repeater Camera - disconnect/reconnect - calibrate?

If you disconnect a side/fender camera, and then reconnect, does the vehicle/camera require re-calibration?

Yeah ... body repair is pricey .. but this seems excessive

This is a Tesla-certified shop. One that was highly recommended by my local Tesla Service Center.

So, the estimate papers are from my insurance provider ... this charge is a line item for labor rate difference (their way to present it in their system I suppose). So, the labor rate for Tesla repair is about twice that of normal labor rate.

    minor body work

What Watts_Up said. If it involves any tweaking of an aluminum body panel - make sure your shop has experience with aluminum.

Yeah ... body repair is pricey .. but this seems excessive

Not sure ... I don't have the estimate in front of me. I'll review again this evening and confirm. That said - it is a stellar auto body shop - really put me at ease, and looking forward to getting my car back.

Yeah ... body repair is pricey .. but this seems excessive

It just indicated it was a "misc" line-item charge for repairing a Tesla ... not any addition to labor rate etc. All those things are itemized.

So - my minor blunder in a parking lot in december (ran into the back of someone) caused some damage. From 15 feet away, the only indication of any damage was a horizontal line (which was a split) on the front bumper, and the gap between the hood and the bumper in the front was slightly pinched...

    Michelin CrossClimate+

I got 18 inch ASA GT14s with the 235/45R18s CC+ for my P3D+ ... haven't mounted them yet. When I was researching such tires - I had some individuals claim that there were quieter than the PS4s. We'll see. Mounting this weekend.

Recommendation for 18 inch wheels for Performance

Thinking of going with the Tsportlines. Anyone here have a referral code?

model 3 popping sound from backseat speaker

Good I found this thread. I've had this intermittently from a front dash speaker on the driver's side. It comes and goes. I've done a soft reset (for other reasons), and also just recently had a software update (28.3), which hasn't really done anything. Might be a temperature thing too...
