    Acceleration Shudder

Rev B part won't prevent a failure... Had both mine replaced at 7500 miles due to grinding noise and shudder on acceleration: HALF SHAFT - FRONT RIGHT (1027115-00-B) HALF SHAFT - FRONT LEFT (1027111-00-B) Two weeks ago at 8500 miles, the right one failed completely with just mild acceleration...

That "Obstacle Detected" might be your other door!

This was my first reaction... Feels like an easy one to slow the FWD until the front door clears. Not as cool looking as "everything closing as once", but would have prevented another trip to the body shop. :(

That "Obstacle Detected" might be your other door!

I've had door sensors replaced 3 times now on my Model X (April 2016 delivery), but here's a quick warning for other owners to avoid more serious damage... I had a passenger closing the rear door at the same time as the front and the doors stopped with an "Obstacle Detected" warning on the...

    Driver Door Latch Confused

Just had the latch problem occur on mine as well... Driver side door wouldn't latch properly - constant cycling noise coming from latch. Cycling can be stopped by manually moving the striker latch with a screwdriver to fool the car into thinking the door is closed. Car can be driven by...

Model X !! Is it a good choice???

I hate to say this...but if you're on the fence...DON'T DO IT. I agonized over whether to pull the trigger on my Model X and ended up going through with it and took delivery on 4/27. Unfortunately, I miss the 2013 Model S that I traded in every day I drive my Model X, and it's primarily due to...

    Rattles ?

The side panel is easy to pop off (standard automotive style body clips). Just get one edge up slightly and work around the edge popping one clip at a time with your fingers. The top of the dash and speaker grills are another story... They're pretty secure and I wasn't going to risk pulling...

    Rattles ?

The right side of my dash started creaking incessantly after about 500 miles. Smooth roads, rough roads - didn't matter. Since SC's are backed up over a month, I decided to try and pinpoint it myself since they can't look at the car until June. Pressing on the dash didn't seem to help isolate...

Quality feedback for Model Xs delivered after April

No problems with the front doors. Your original post about your door issue freaked me out, so I'm keeping a close watch. ;-) So far just the one FWD issue.

Quality feedback for Model Xs delivered after April

SC gave me other instructions... Service Advisor told me to stop using the FWD to prevent damage after I showed him video of the door grinding loudly against the body/trim. It's not a "cosmetic" alignment issue, the door is misaligned on close where it will start to cause body damage or break...

    Preventing Doors From Losing Calibration

Mine appeared "problem free" at delivery last week... There's also the "week later" door challenge going on from other posts online. SC advisor did ask if my FWD problem started occurring "on an incline", so there might be a known problem... Given that the SC can't schedule my Model X in...

    Preventing Doors From Losing Calibration

VIN 00026x. March build, delivered last week after the supposed "extreme quality check" delays in April. Tesla doesn't build in VIN order (order was confirmed back in December but delayed due to black wheels and other options), so I was hoping to be past the problems a lot of the Jan/Feb...

    Preventing Doors From Losing Calibration

"1) Park on a hill" Looks like this was just a warning sign. My door is now hitting while parked on flat surfaces as of today. Guessing the struts are becoming mis-calibrated, or possibly the rear strut is failing since it's the door that has been used most frequently in the week since...

    Wiki Model X Reset Techniques

Any additional tips on FWD reset/calibration? Read online that holding interior button in the up/down position for 30 seconds each might be the technique? Tried this, but unsure if it took. My right rear FWD is now hitting the body on close (started on inclines, now doing it at all times)...

    Preventing Doors From Losing Calibration

I noticed today that my right side FWD glass is hitting the trim on the body pretty solidly (to the point where I'm concerned it will break the glass) when parked on an incline (nose high in a driveway). Left side has no problems. Given your "tilt back" observation, the problem might be...

Quality feedback for Model Xs delivered after April

VIN 00026x / March 2016 build / Delivered 4/27/16 1. Front driver and passenger - Function is GOOD (seals...minor...see below). 2. FWD latch and functions - Right FWD rear glass hits body trim when parked on a nose-high incline (e.g. driveway). Glass breakage risk. 3. Seals around the car -...
