I don't have this noise but from what I am hearing it sounds like the power steering pump to me. It's too high frequency to be a low speed wheel rub and it only makes the sound once you approach the last 30% or so of the steering angle available?
So maybe as the steering angle increases at low...
Make sure to actually get a long range and not a 100D. Just drove one for a few days as a loaner and it's no more efficient then my 85D...heck I'd say less efficient due to the added weight. Was getting similar efficiency numbers on my daily routine trips.
They found water intrusion in the hv fuse box for mine. Replaced the box. Maybe that fixes it. I was hoping for one of them new 280 mile range batteries with a couple months left on the warranty but oh well.
I guess if the alert comes back there is probably water in the battery if they found it...
Good to know. I will see how much I can push them on my side to get to the bottom of it. My guess is the motor inverter is wearing out or something and cannot sustain the output.
At least they gave me severely degraded 100D as a loaner. Only 272 rated miles at 100% compared to my cars 256...
I think I jinxed myself with my earlier reply. My car dropped the DI w166 _hvilOutOfBounds over the weekend. It's at the SC now and they gave me a loaner. Car still charges fine but I am seeing reduced power from my eyeballs. I don't see the power limit lines but even on the warm days we've had...
huh, my 85D is fine and I don't baby it. No rattles, no creaks. All trim is fine except for some small bubbling of the alcantara on the inside b-pillers. Honestly, my interior looks like the day I bought it at 28k miles now at 105k miles. And I wiped it down and dressed it maybe 6 times...maybe...
I wonder if there is some dielectric coolant that can be used in the older S that can keep these drive units from failing while still providing enough cooling performance for the batteries.
Looks to be within spec by Tesla standards.
All joking aside, I bought the cheap one with no pull handle, just a lip underneath to pull on, from Amazon and have bee happy with it. Ok quality, blends in with the cheap plastic down there, lol.
Update on the 19” TNA Razors and Pirelli P Zero AS+ Elect.
Have a little over a thousand miles on them now and still drive the same (AP set at 65mph on highway, sometimes 70). Still flooring it here and there but this set up appears to be abouy 11-12% more efficient then the Vredesteins on the...
