I purchased in Washington and registered in Alaska, I got a trip permit and paid taxes when I registered in Alaska. I believe that's the situation in most states.

I ordered mine in April, would love them sooner but my only real deadline is when they start salting the roads in winter, so I’m not too pressed. There was one big delay announced in May, but since then it seems like things have been on track.

Thanks for the tip! I’m not sure what the cause was, but I restarted my phone and toggled the “optimized battery charging” setting on my phone off and back on, and one of those things seem to have fixed it. My apologies to Tesla for ever doubting them.

Used chademo adapters sell for more than retail usually, because they’re never in stock on Tesla’s site. If it’s just for a trip you could ask around in your local Tesla owners Facebook group, and if you want to buy you should just call every Tesla service location you can (that was my method).

Took delivery yesterday at Lynnwood! Very quick experience. My dad spent the whole ride over prepping me to rebuff all the car dealership upsell tactics he assumed Tesla would try, but I just signed two pieces of paper and took off in my car. I love it more than anything. I did run into one...

Same time, I got an email telling me to fill in my financial info and the vin and new delivery dates were on the account. I probably checked at least three times every waking hour for the week up until that.

The only thing either my sales advisor or delivery advisor ever did was change my registration address when I moved. I called the dealership directly for everything, though I texted my sales advisor first just to add to the string of texts she hasn’t responded to.

Mine was June 4-24 until last night when it changed to May 27-30. I think other people had more drastic shifts when they got their vin.
