I am out of town and this morning I pulled into a Supercharger. After about three minutes, I received this alert: "Powertrain requires service. Vehicle speed and power might be limited." I freaked out, but after charging it, the alert has gone away. Cars seems fine in Chill and Sport modes...

This is accurate. I had this issue with my ‘21 Model 3 without lidar.

Yeah, if you don’t have lidar , the wipers have to be powered on when using AP. Sometimes they just go off for no reason, and when you turn them off, you lose AP. Something to do with cameras and Tesla Vision
