Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

All 13,400 hires in 2023? Any links to your claim? I’ve seen old info on Tesla’s hiring practices, but nothing about 2023.

There's a non-zero chance that the Robotaxi is the Next Gen consumer vehicle. 1) Elon thinks big. You know he rather build cars with no steering wheel and pedals. Some next gen advanced screen controls are still necessary though. Think point the camera at something and the car goes, not...

With neural net learning by imitation, once the AI learns how to drive Chuck’s left turn in many circumstances, it should be able to do almost all unprotected left turns with a median in the U.S. I liken this to learning a particular skill. Where the large data set comes into use is edge...

Gene Munster on FSD potential... a bit disappointing. Gene is projecting a 20% increase in net income in 2027 based on FSD adoption, if Telsa lowers the FSD price by half. Here's the link: Thoughts? My thoughts below. FSD's value varies depending on use. FSD for consumers is currently...

Elon’s a perfectionist. It’s not just the gen 3 platform. Elon wants to evolve the machine that makes the machine. It has absolutely need to be the lowest cost possible. Tesla cars are iconic. This new one will be too. The model once made will not change for a decade or more. Takes time.

A question. I use TD Ameritrade. With the recent Charles Schwab rumours I did a little research. Security held at brokers should belong to the investors, however, since the broker loans out shares at times, it’s not 1 to 1. Came across this at Investpedia While securities held in street name...

One thing is for certain, Tesla will not compete in a commoditised market. Look for Tesla to reinvent and integrate the power wall into a more complete eco system. Now, solar roof, grid and cars. In the mid term future, perhaps a home hvac. And in the far future, the Tesla bot.

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

110 share price breached and I had to deleverage again. Sold off all the new shares and leaps I bought last week. Another painful lesson on being overly optimistic. Might just do nothing on the long side but hold. STO Jan 6 -c114, -c116, -c118. Rolled down Jan 25 leaps from +c80 and +c70 to...

I sure don't look forward to that day. It would mean the large growth for Tesla is behind it. Those slow and steady wins the race stock have very low PEs.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I can assure you that Wallstreet is not viewing 40% annual growth and 25% margins as likely for the next 3 years in a row. Current TTM PE ratio is 34. Three years of 40% growth, assuming gross profit margin at 25% nets the same net margin as now, due to efficiency, would put the PE at 12.5 at...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The current market cap is 385 billion. If you look at the historical PE ratio of S&P 500, it averages 16 to 1 since inception. As a thought exercise, what does this valuation imply? Based on a 385 billion market cap, a PE ratio of 16 would mean an annual profit of 24 billion a year. We can view...
