I'm excited from the day one and am more & more excited. Digest the comparison! Change is a natural phenomenon-look ahead.

STILL Lots wrong with this chart: F150L cargo volume would include another 51+ cu ft in the 2nd row of the cab. F150L cargo locations also include 2 glove boxes, on-dash-tray, center console, sunglasses. F150L bed "width" is 60" at the tailgate, front, and above the wheel humps. F150L Driver...

Anyone with a lower RN# than me?

Other places say to take the difference from 112744100 to find your apx distance from the front of the line.

    500 mile range? LOL

Welcome to the world of driving energy-guzzling full sized trucks. 2.5 mi / kWh or 400 Wh/mi is the ballpark you can expect for a vehicle this size.

    500 mile range? LOL

I think you proved my point when your simple search on the internet reveals that the knowledge necessary for bending stainless is readily available and well known.

    "No Reseller" clause for Cybertruck

Contracts are void if they are illegal. Certain types of contracts that restrain trade are illegal in the U.S. Of course, it will cost you a lawsuit to find out. Which is also illegal...

    500 mile range? LOL

Since when is bending stainless steel any more difficult than any other steel or metal? Its not like its infinitely strong or anything. Its pretty much the same as any other high strength steel Sure, if its hardened, it can be brittle and crack if bent too sharply, but this is all well known...

    500 mile range? LOL

Rumors are 123 kwh battery and < 300 mile range in the first release. But there is that mystery cover hanging under the back - could be covering an extended range battery option?

    Thoughts on Pickup Truck Beds

Yes, that is annoying also on the Ford.

    Thoughts on Pickup Truck Beds

Would have to look at one in detail again, but making it 6 inches shorter is not not helpful at all. With payload now reduced to being essentially the same as my Lightning, and eventually when Fords can fast-charge at Tesla stations, there is not going to be much reason for me to want the Tesla...

    Thoughts on Pickup Truck Beds

Since I started this thread 4 years ago, I have since purchased an F150 Lightning and have been driving it and using it for over a year. It has a conventional pickup bed. Pretty much as expected. Its only 5.5 feet long where my old Chevy had the medium 6' 8" bed. The difference is annoying...

    Hummer EV

Why are none of the Truck manufacturers just building the truck everyone wants? Same configurations as an F150 or Chevy 1500, but with an electric drive train with 350 mile range. Don't need no fancy electronics, touch screen, self driving, power retracting cover, crab mode, rock-crawling...

Favorite options? I want a snowplow and a winch.

The thing is, that little diesel can put out 19 HP at the PTO sustained for hours. In deep snow, that power will be the limiting factor as to how fast you can clear it. 19 HP = ~14 KW. So yes, could make an electric motor that big, but its going to need to tap into the main battery system...

Favorite options? I want a snowplow and a winch.

Plows need weight carrying capacity on the front axle. They also need a sturdy place on the truck to attach. Unless you baby it, the normal operation of the plow is repeated collisions with piles of snow that can easily outweigh the truck at speeds up to 20 MPH. With the occasional oops where...

Cyber truck will be the best selling vehicle ever

Pickup trucks usage stats do not completely reflect how buyers think emotionally. True, most people use their pickups as daily drivers most of the time. But they do occasionally use the truck for hauling stuff or towing stuff. Or they think they might someday. And they want that capability...

Towing may require differing regenerative braking profile.

Sure, to some extent, but nobody is likely to want to drive that conservatively. Heavy trailers are required to have brakes for good reason - they are needed and get used. Any situation where the trailer brakes are used is going to burn energy in the trailer brakes instead of regen. As a...
