Rumour: Model 3/Y to lose stalks in 2023 model year

Ahh a BX. I had a ‘91 BX and it’s still in my top 3 of cars (the Model Y isn’t troubling the top 10). Far far more comfortable way to travel and it also had bags of character.

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

The point I’m trying to make is that Tesla do follow the industry norm, just with less impact. The little production changes are the sort of thing that happen at model year changes or half model year changes, or even in between. The Raven cars were like a mid cycle refresh, but limited to...

Didn’t mean to offend you by liking the post, educated debate is preferable as you say. There are some fervent folk on here and it’s that sentiment I was agreeing with.

I still prefer the JLR software, aka CarPlay. And I didn’t have Pivi Pro. But ETTO 👍

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

Yep, and four years ago they were so far ahead of the game. That’s part of my frustration, the lack of improvement since then. They could easily have taken that EV lead and spent the last few years trying to build a more engaging, fully featured and interesting car. But no, just growth and...

Even in production constrained 2021 and with both as about to be replaced models (by real new models), LR produced 57k Range Rover Sports and 43k Range Rovers. Your less than 20k is US only. Yes few changes. You and I both know that other manufacturers don’t just change a few body panels...

Nice choice, hope the Tesla bounces a little in value for you. I don’t know how long I will keep my Tesla, and I really value the smoothness and convenience of EV…so wouldn’t go back to ICE. But agree with pretty much all your points and I will be amazed if I ever buy another Tesla. The lack...

Yeah call me a pessimist on that 🤣🤣🤣 but as a Prius replacement, pretty good.

NB. Meant to say….if nothing else, the Model Y is far too perfect as an urban/semi-urban taxi for values not to plateau. I’ve already seen a couple of MY taxis around here and that’s going to be a really strong market for the car s/h.

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

Haha I ran two £80k Discoveries for 3 years for a net cost of about £10k. 5 months in a Tesla has cost £22k. Sure is a lot of fuel and servicing. Whilst factual, i don’t think this will continue quite as badly and we will probably be generally looking at 50% loss over 3 years like any mass...

    TESLA UI / UX

I love that somebody managed to press disagree to this post 😂😂 that really does sum up the fan boy mentality. For the disagreer - try cooled seats, heated third row, HUD, 360 cameras, auto-parking as standard, heated windscreen, opening glass roof, 9 USBs, rear video screens, electrically...

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

Thanks, I was pretty sure that there was something they retailed via. My brain was telling me Cazoo but I knew that was wrong! I guess they would be paying more for cars they need for Cinch rather than those they are punting out at auction. I spent a year checking my Disco price on both...

[UK] used value of their Tesla cars plummeting?

WBAC buy cars that then go through BCA auctions, aiming to sell at a profit over what WBAC paid, to a trader who will then need to take further profit. Motorway is an auction direct to the traders and large dealer network buyers. As is Carwow. If your car is in demand at a particular dealer...

Don’t panic. Appreciate it’s a pain being stuck in a crappy car that hasn’t met expectations, but, first world problems, it’s still an ok car really. The current situation is a huge imbalance in supply and demand. Demand for s/h Teslas is probably approximately what it was six months ago...

[UK] Would you buy another tesla

58% retained value/42% depreciation as the poster you quoted showed for your car. Mine WBACs today at £38k vs £58k new. So a 35% loss in five months. The ICE car on our drive WBACs at 58% of its new invoice price, also 42% depreciation. Not bad for over 9 years of ownership.
