    Elon Musk

It wasn’t relatable to most people. Condemnation was widespread. But some are less emotionally mature than others.

    What?

    Elon Musk

I didn’t vote on every comment though I did come close. I think it’s surprising and revealing that many on TMC are choosing to defend EM in the midst of his current behavior. Today he’s yet again choosing to spend his time trolling Montana Skeptic online. I think it’s hitting the fan at Tesla...

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

Probably should get back to kvetching about alcantaragate. I'll start. Where's my Alcantara gone? ;)

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

My observations are also valid for the current model S. As far as what the 2020 Roadster may/may not do performance wise...I feel that "Alcantaragate" and many of teslas other failings/shortfalls/wildly optimistic projections (Thinking of Elon's cross country AP2 trip he didn't take at the end...

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

That's Electrek for you, sadly. It works as a fan site. But they present themselves as journalists, and journalists they are not, IMHO.

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

Great comment IMHO. I have made similar comments, as has Anxiety Ranger and a few others. I agree totally with your sentiment that this could be the "Canary in the coal mine". I think it's puzzling that most people seem to be ignoring the statement that the supplier quit talking to Tesla. I...

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

But is it "Premium" woven fabric?? I think only Tesla has access to that ;)

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

My performance car will get smoked 0-60 from a standstill by most vans. But, I've never seen a van like that.

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

Yeah I get what you're saying here for sure. I think that there is definitely some truth to the assertion that 0-60 is the most important metric for most car buyers as far as performance goes. That is definitely supported by it being the most touted statistic for any performance car...

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

You've sort of moved the goalposts with this new comment. The original comment that I was addressing asserted that, essentially "Performance" teslas could smoke any car on the road at $250,000 or less. The fact is, that's just not true in any measure, except limited 0-60 launches. I also...

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

I've actually read this entire thread (I know, I'm nuts), and one gentleman said that he was planning on getting aftermarket Alcantara, and was quoted $1K. He seemed to feel it was well worth it. Im not sure where he was located.

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

I believe that the verbiage is "Premium materials throughout"

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

That also has....nothing to do with the discussion at hand whatsoever. I have as much right as anywhere else here to post. And more insight than some, it seems. Best wishes.

Change from alcantara to cloth on PUP???

I think it's going to be quite interesting to see how this plays out. I suspect, as you do, that Tesla isn't going to have a "Less premium" headliner material for the non-PUP vehicles. And this will definitely put them in a marketing conundrum.
