For small body dents that can't be PDR'd, is Tesla Certified body shop necessary?

Wondering if it's necessary to go Tesla Certified for a small bondo and paint fix. I already talked to one shop and they said they charge $200/hr. So being Tesla certified seems like an excuse to jack up their rates and recoup their certification costs. Only advantage I could possibly see is...

    Chill Mode usage

My default mode is chill and I like it that way. Pop it into standard on occasion when I want to be a little more peppy, but no often. I noticed better Wh/mi numbers in chill and like you say, it's plenty quick and fast in chill compared to ICE for most SoCal traffic.

Review of my 2024 Tesla M3 RWD after approx 2 weeks

Hands down my 97M outperforms my Model 3...when I'm driving in the twisties, it's not blistering hot out and the fun factor at less than highway speeds. Otherwise, my RWD is the better daily.

    Most efficient tire?

Close. I drive the I110 from Pasadena to DTLA a lot. And this is where you can really feel the weight of the Model 3, compared to an ICE car like my Accord Sport and NA Miata.

    Most efficient tire?

More like Discount Tire has exclusive rights to distribute and sell YK-series in the US. Not quite the same thing as Yokohama is a Discount Tire brand. Non-YK ADVANS may or may not have a different arrangement. But Discount tire has become the behemoth of internet tire sales since acquiring...

Vendor The Upgrade Every Tesla-Driving Parent Needs to Discover

I've seen alot of these on aliex. Still way to much asking for what is basically a board. Instead, I bought the smaller plastic one for $3 that wedges on the steering wheel and it's pretty worthless. but the risk was only $3.

    Highland top speed reduced…

Fairly certain any stock production Model 3 base would be limited to same 125mph. Provides separation from premium trims and the Model S, while preserving same performance to previous years models. This will be true until some liberal State legislates in speed governors. CA has an SB floating...

First Drive with a Steering Wheel on a Model S

could one simulate how the yoke drives by just not touching the top half of the wheel?

Did you just buy a Tesla from Hertz Car Rental?

My #1 reason...you will never know how many drunk/stupid people may have pee'd or barfed in that car.

    Trunk liners

I bought a folding rear one with the frunk from aliex. I would like to see a Taptes one in person, just to compare material at each price point.

Hit obstacle on road, some damage under. Does service center fix these? Attached image

wow, note to self...don't go to SC if at all possible for something like this to only get battery warranty voided. i realize there probably is no way avoiding it, but that still sucks.

    Wheel aerodynamics for symmetrical pairs

Yes, picture is correct. If you reversed them, I'd expect more wind resistance. FYI, the OEM uberturbines use a single mold for all 4 wheel.

Drove an ET5 Touring demo car yesterday - it's pretty good!

Nice comments. I love performance wagons, but all that car-sick inducing squat and rebound is a deal breaker for me.

Model 3 Steering Wheel Peeling - less than 3 years

I don't think Tesla's blanket statement that it's caused by hand sanitizer and lotion so not warranty covered as a blanket statement is appropriate either. What kind of car manufacturer makes material choices that are deteriorated by commonly used items like sanitizer and lotion? I don't get...
