5000 Mile Road Trip Lessons Learned (Tesla Road Tripping for Dummies)

I ended up buying a CHAdeMO adapter right before they took them off the store, but I don't think I really need it unless I embark on a road trip like yours! So far I've used it one time because there was a free CCS/CHAdeMO charging station near a hotel I recently stayed at, but realisitcally I...

    2021.11.x Firmware

For those of you who finally have an update, were you checking in the Software tab on the car's screen or did you get a notification via the phone app? I check in the car 3-4 times a day but am wondering the phone app will notify when it's available?

My overly-paranoid roadtrip charging setup - should I grab anything else?

We still have a Sienna as our other vehicle, but I'd much rather drive the tesla. I think it'll be fine - I didn't realize I was going to get so much pushback making this thread!

Sanity check - Winter wheels/tires for MYP

Hah, my tires are in the 4th tier with the con "increased fuel usage" due to higher drag - crap. I should have went with the VikingContact 7's or the Hakkapeliittas. That's what I get with only going by Consumer Report's ratings. As for Blizzaks - I had a set many years ago and they worked...

My overly-paranoid roadtrip charging setup - should I grab anything else?

The real reason for the paranoia is the stretch between Duluth, MN and Lutsen, MN in the middle of winter for an annual ski trip we take. There is a CCS/CHAdeMO L3 charger at Lutsen and a few L2 chargers, but not many. I’ll likely be able to plug into a L2 at some point during the stay, but...

    2021.11.x Firmware

My wife took the car to work today. I don’t see a notice on the app about an update being ready - does that mean I’m SOL for now?

    2021.11.x Firmware

Not sure if it's a fluke, but Teslafi is showing a Model 3 SR+ in Colorado being offered 2021.36.5 from version 2021.11.103:

My overly-paranoid roadtrip charging setup - should I grab anything else?

The Home Depot about 5 miles away. In reality, these aren't for any upcoming planned trip, just to be prepared for whatever situation we might encounter. The 10-50 to 14-50 adapter is for my in-laws house where they have that as an option. The TT-30 to 14-30 is in case we need to top off at a...

My overly-paranoid roadtrip charging setup - should I grab anything else?

Whoops, it's in the mobile connector bag, I just didn't think to list it. So far, that adapter is the only thing I have used out of everything pictured since we have a few free L2 chargers near my house.
