    Charging an EV in 1911

I actually met an engineer back in the late 70's who had an electric carriage. It was his daily driver in good weather, all city commuting to work.

    Homelink issue after 2022.44.25.1 update

The new HomeLink interface really screws the pooch! Cards? This is a useless feature for me, but others must have desired to have them return. The auto canceling blinkers are a nice improvement, if they could just fix the wipers.

Home charging options with full panel

What I would recommend if you have room; Add a 100 amp sub panel and move all of your 120 volt loads into it ( get rid of all of the tandem breakers ) Use the main panel only for your 240 volt loads. Go with the level 2 wall connector charger from Tesla.

    cleaning bugs on grille area

Letting the dried on buggers soak for a while is essential. Avoid using any high pressure, no need to blast them into your finish.

Tesla says it's "within the spec" and "normal", what do you think?

Our front passenger side front door seal was much worse than the picture of yours when we picked up our MYP. The sales associate was able to push it up and into proper position, its still there after 6 months. He had to push pull along the entire length of the seal in order to get it to move, it...

Tesla $7500 Tax Credit Coming Back?

Will the MY qualify for the $7500? Is it considered an SUV by the Feds? Hopefully the dual motor CT I have a reservation for will fall under 80K and qualify, if and when its produced.

What’s your longest drive without charging?

Our first round trip with 100% SOC was 250 miles. We returned home with 15% SOC left. All highway driving, 70 - 75 mph going, 65 - 70 mph retuning. Mild weather conditions.

What are the chances of having these addressed on delivery day?

When we went to pick up our first MYP and it was immaculate, it looked like it had been professionally detailed, everything was perfect, except it had the wrong tires on it and we had to refuse it. 2 weeks later our second MYP was in so we took a trip to check it out and see if it had the...

Does your SOC ever show higher than your charging set point?

Every now and then, after our MYP has fully charged to its set point, say 80 or 90 % and we disconnect the home wall charger, the next morning SOC indicates 2 too 3 % higher SOC than the evening before. Could this be from a change in battery ambient conditions from evening to morning?

    Body line "Within Specs"?

That would bother me also, there is gap and there is alignment. My passenger side rear door was terribly aligned with the front door and rear fender. The service center would not touch it. When the mobile tech was finished installing my homelink he asked if there was anything else? I pointed...

Model Y Rear Cargo Mat DIY

Around $106 total, I had to place a second order for 10 more 12" X 3" so I may have paid some extra shipping. The 12" X 3" are "right side loop" and the beveled ends are "with tabs". Plenty of colors to match Tesla's, just go to the WeatherTech site and check out the TechFlooring options. Blue...

Model Y Rear Cargo Mat DIY

Disclaimer: I am in no way associated/affiliated with WeatherTech. After transporting several cases of wine home and hearing them slide around and clink we new that something had to be done. I always wanted to do some type of project with the TechFloor product, other than my garage floor. What...
