The center console is I believe different. See this thread. In short, the storage insert from Amazon I bought which was for 'all model 3s' did not fit my new 2021 M3 LR-AWD's center console as it is supposed to. I haven't run across one yet that does fit. I don't have a 2020 M3 to compare to...

Overall dimensions have definitely changed. I just wrote a review on Amazon of the unit I bought, which erroneously stated that it fit 'all' model 3s. I doubt the seller / manufacturer realized that it no longer fit the 2021s, but I wanted to warn others.

Same question - I bought this one from Amazon for the 2020, and it doesn't fit in the 2021 center console.

I think it depends on where you take delivery. In Chicago last week, it was truly 'contactless' but did involve a number of phone calls. I posted my experience over here

For what it's worth, my recently-delivered 2021 M3 LR (delivered 12/7) just started downloading 2020.44.10. (It came with 2020.39.103). So about a week from delivery to first software updated.

I didn't have an EL plate to transfer. I should have removed them but frankly forgot. I'll call over tomorrow to the delivery center and ask them to dispose of them. I don't believe you need to return them to the state if the registration is cancelled (e.g. the plate number is cancelled)...
