Interesting post. Due to the COVID, I had my 3 in the garage most of the time. I found that my car will initiate charging process after fully charged (to set limit) if I kept plugging it in. Here's an example for one day.

Wait a sec. You used a separate battery? I watched this youtube from etrailer which run the wire all the way to connect to the front battery from under the body. That made me pretty worried, plus I don't have a lift for the car. If a separate battery is fine, why would I bother to run the wire...

I'm so attempted to install the wire, however, I'm not totally convinced just stuffing it under the body. Did you tie it along the way? waiting for some talent ppl finding a way to use the pre-wired port behind the bumper.

obviously, I messed rear overhang distance with the total rear length with the hitch when I check the manual. Hence, I redraw the diagram. This time I factor in the front wheel. Seems like you'll have to raise the front wheel to almost 19" to bottom out the hitch. Idea?
