I didn't. A big part of the change was the extra size. R.e. being brave. I loved my M3, and the ID4 is pretty damn boring to drive and not as "fun" from a tech point of view. But as a family/touring car - it is arguably better.

Up to 18 weeks but I expect closer to 12. I used drivethedeal so it ended up at about 38k with heat pump and towbar (that flips away nicely).

There's some gap on the drivers side window but they seem unable to fix (much better on the passenger side). Not sure if I notice this more than others or if it's the wheels - assume I can get some professional deadening added to the other parts.

I'm pretty sure there's no good answer to this but... can I get all the lovely 2021 upgrades on my 2019 model 3? Assuming the heat exchange is too difficult but automatic boot opener and better noise cancellation sound like they can be done officially (he says desperately).

Thanks - if the light flash is subtle that would explain the differences I've heard of. I thought I'd also seen threads where the car played music/audio of some kind but I may be spending too much time on reddit...

Moderator comment - thread renamed from "Sentry mode" Sentry mode for me seems to just mean the cameras are on. I've seen videos of the car making noises or flashing lights when people approach but my car just sits in silence. Maybe there are some options I need to enable but just wanted to see...

I'm not really questioning build quality. There's plenty to love and hate about the 3. I'm really trying to understand if there's anything fundamentally different in the design. E.g. the 3 has later hardware and fewer physical buttons. Appreciate they're quite different cars but still interested...
