for a purchase the price of the X is some serious disposable income.
for a lease or a company car - if you can get a good fleet deal and depreciation/maintenance etc is not your problem - go for the X !
That assumes you can physically fit the thing into your driveway / work car park / down your road.
I don't think the 3 lacks in features, in fact the appearance of sparsity is quite attractive now I'm starting to get used to it. It's just the X has lots of trick stuff up it's sleeve, but you do pay mega bucks for it.
