I was wondering the same thing and emailed Tesla. This is the answer I got: "Typically, a delivery specialist will be in contact around 4-5 weeks prior to your delivery, once a VIN has been assigned."

Hmm. Did not realize non tech did not have Homelink. We will provide a remote with the kit that you can use to toggle the front or rear. Force to Rear will work the same in tech or non tech. Thanks for pointing this out.
