If I were you I would not email them (or further) about paying via cc ... just call the number on that thread about paying with cc over phone (sorry I do not have it). As thread indicates and my experience paying that way last Jan it seems a grey area for them that they possibly may deny exists...

agree kilawatt or similar that shows hz is a good way to see how YOUR system behaves off grid as PW approaches "capacity" .. mine had a behavior i had not read about on these boards. My system would begin "flirting" w/ a higher freq above 60hz .. not smoothly raising it but raising for moment...

i agree with this ... i have seen so many different types of bits etc .. hard to believe tesla would truly have used a proprietary bit / fastener .. perhaps something just not seen before by the solar person you used ?

@jjrandorin is spot on .. difficult to escalate a problem within Tesla in anyway most of us are accustom... I have tried with an issue that is minor compared to yours but non the less frustrating.. and have gotten almost nowhere The consensus seems to be the quality of Tesla's installs is...

interesting .. is this noise unique to Tesla branded inverter vs solaredge etc? I have heard the pumping noise of powerwalls when they are rapidly charging or discharging ... which is cool was not aware inverter made noise

as a user You can only see current state And change reserve level I assume this app can do more / shows stats etc

Curious also since I was looking again at my documents. Did @Uncle Paul see the $100 credit on invoice or purchase agreement, or elsewhere ? ... I have yet to get the $400 check but I’m chasing this $100 credit 😆

i agree for most hard pulls do not result in change in credit that would affect us .. again for me its the principle of it .. but to each their own

This is sadly typical bad communication on Tesla energy part and sort of par for the course... but .. i agree with you .. this is too far .. I would not allow them to do full credit inquiry etc if they (tesla or finance co) are at fault .just on principle .. or at least in this case i feel Tesla...

i think what annoys ppl most (or a least from what i see from outside looking in .. i'm on SCE) is the hypocrisy of PG&E .. spending in inordinate amount of time and money guilting people about what a reasonable person would believe is normal use but then making it difficult both financially...

no i think it is assumed referral would be as prob orig intended ... some other tesla owner (solar or vehicle) refers you to solar .. ppl just tried "self-referral" at some point and found it worked (mostly) also if vehicle purshases in past are any indication may be difficult to add a referral...

i just entered my referral code from my model 3 (one i would txt someone else) when i purchased the solar you would have had to enter referral code / ID during solar purchase or purchase would have gone thru without any referral i do not have check yet but referral shows in my "loot box"

how else would it work ??

i will pass on the extended warranty on mine. Only because extended warrenties generally have deductibles etc they are money makers for the retailer / manufact not done as favor to consumer .. and due to the bathtub curve on new items. thats just me

everything is running fine has since 1st inspection / tesla states can "see" everything / latest "its an IT issue" .. i can only see system by logging onto teg wifi at my home ... i have a solar edge 7600 inverter

i agree no min ... i just used 2kw as example powerwall will charge with any amount of pv beyond what home demands at moment ..(this included ev charging lumped in with house use) i have also seen 0.1kw going to my two powerwalls .. this of course does almost nothing to charge them

i believe there is a setting in TEG (compenent needed w/ power wall) that allows you to set tesla ev to start charge when powerwall at 90% .. not sure if can adjust this as this is based on what i have read here since i still do not have access to app :rolleyes:

Not 100 % if it is same system behavior in Uk as the states but I essentially do what you are stating, I believe. I am also assuming your ev is a Tesla. My system is set for self powered .. when sun rises I may have from 75 down to 50% in powerwalls depending on night use. I start charging car...

Well sounds like you have an abundance of the key trait needed to do business with Tesla energy ... patience I would 100% agree with you and not give up a power wall and have the limitations of just one Good luck with your install

question for you @holeydonut .. have you tried going truly off grid (shut off utility ) reason i ask is on my system (two pw / pv) when off grid, utility breaker off ..(and this is not behavior when pw near capacity) ac freq behaves diff .. i watched on a monitor it jumps constantly from about...

@bob_p sounds like reasonable explanation if you were on grid power at time, however if I read correctly you were already completely on battery power ? I don’t believe you should have seen any interruption if grid power were even momentarily interrupted

OP mentioned gateway so i assumed meant solar / and or powerwall system ? OP you may want to specify if this is the case and whether you have PV only or powerwall(s) as well.. since this effects reporting to tesla .. may influence answer to your question

OP mentioned "standard deep well water pump" believed did not run at night .. also has some other interesting electrical devices ..whole house water filter w/ UV ? but i too would like to hear more details on these pump(s) / filters etc

it was tesla as installer / powerwalls and pv .. i had told them right after inspection pre-pto that i could not see it in app told me i had to wait for PTO .. after PTO i was given "activation" phone number by my advisor... they told me they "see " everything fine on their end and should show...

reviving this thread from search .. anyone else having recent problem powerwalls / pv not showing on app after PTO? background mine has never shown pre-PTO i used teg on local .. have called tesla 2x last time told escalated to tech support would hear from them in ~ 3 days .. been 3 days tried...

OP started thread partially venting so figured the venting expanded .. it is cathartic :D
