New Model Y roof, new wind noise

My Model Y roof cracked and was replaced by Tesla in Peabody MA (2.5hrs from our home in Maine). Unfortunately it now makes a pronounced wind noise over 35mph, right near the driver's head (or so it seems). There's nothing visually apparent looking at the outside. I was in a VERY heavy rain...

Cracked roof, any chance it's covered under warranty?

I discovered my 23 MYLR roof is cracked. Three questions: Is there any safety risk if I continue driving this for a while (see below)? Any chance this is covered under Tesla's warranty or should I just move ahead with an insurance claim with AAA? Is it important/essential to get this repaired by...

    LFP availability?

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere but I haven't stumbled upon it. Can a US buyer get a Tesla with LFP battery now, either a model 3 or model Y? Thanks.

Model Y prices to increase March 1, 2024?

The Refer and Earn portion of my app is telling me that Model Y prices will increase March 1st. Is there any more information about this available? I don't suppose this is a refresh comparable to the Model 3 highlander? If not it seems like a weird time to be increasing prices, but what do I...

Money well spent: tire repair kit

I got a flat tire on interstate 80 out in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. Pressure dropped from 42 to 10 in about 2 minutes. Luckily the leak was easy to find. I fixed it in about 20 minutes with a $20 tire repair kit and a $35 inflator from Amazon. I’m really glad I bought them when I bought...

    Parking Assist -- limited confidence

I park my MYLR at 90 degrees to my Tacoma sometimes. I suppose you could say it's just being overly conservative, but to put the car where I want it I have to endure an lot of warning noises!

Trip report: Santa Cruz, CA to Lovell, ME

I drove from California to Maine earlier this month in a MYLR, just me and the dog. I don’t know exactly how many miles, how many hours, how many Kwh, how many times I stopped to charge, how much time I spent charging, how much it all cost, or how much carbon I saved. I just know that I got here...

    Got any road trip advice?

In a couple weeks I'll be taking a roughly 3200 mile trip in my Model Y LR, driving from Santa Cruz, CA to Lovell, ME. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or advice for me. More details: The car will be packed pretty full including me and a dog, and we'll do it in 7 days of driving. Five days...

    Tesla App sucks!

This Tesla app is driving me nuts. It's like they hired good graphic designers but crappy UI/software engineers. Today's dilemma: trying to set my home charging rates. If I let it look up the rate plan (PG&E EV2-A) it gets the schedule right (season, hours) but the per kwh charges wrong. If I...

Lost LTE, brand new Model Y

Brand new model Y just a few days old. Has lost LTE connectivity. First lost it while car was parked at home. Doesn’t seem to matter where I go. I don’t think this is a dead zone situation. I can’t seem to get it back. I’ve tried rebooting the touchscreen both with and without the brake pedal...

Why are inventory cars only able to be registered in certain states?

(Note: I couldn't find an appropriate forum for this, so I chose the Tesla Inc forum as the best I could come up with.) When you see a car in Tesla inventory in another state, it invariably says "This car can only be registered in <a list of nearby states>". Why is that? Is this a restriction...

Buy from existing inventory and register in Maine?

Is it possible to buy from existing inventory and register in Maine? Many (all?) vehicles in the inventory site say "...can only be registered in <one, or a few nearby states>".

6000+ miles/year of supercharging -- how bad for the battery?

Newbie here. We're nearly ready to pull the trigger on a Model Y long range. We live 6 months each year in Maine and 6 months in California, so we cross the country 2x/year (6000 miles/year), using superchargers of course. The rest of the time, probably another 10k miles/year, would be primarily...
