It doesn't even go into the listening mode. Sometimes says try again on the IC. Sometimes just spins without the person listening ever appearing. So other than that one day, most of the time it just never even goes into listening mode.

All fair except most of their communication is awful. My DS has been very responsive via email. So no complaints here but others have had a horrible experience.

That's more encouraging, able to deliver withing a week of completing production. Although that might just be fortunate timing with regards to transporting vehicles. Emailed my DS, waiting on his reply.

Yeah. First time I am seeing that. Never saw the 1200 waived. Sometimes there is a 2000$ transport fee for inventory models from other locations to be transported, that can be waived I believe.

Not a bad idea. Except how do we know whats being built or which inventory model is newer than other (VIN is unreliable right cuz the order of VIN is based on time of order and not time of production)?

I guess mine will go into production in similar time frame and am on east coast, so highly unlikely delivery before Sep 30th. The decision then becomes do I cancel this and get an inventory 75D, which probably means no SAS and probably no AP HW 2.5 (which I am not sure what it is for anyway)...

Exactly what happened with me :). For me though the difference is 55K Model 3 vs 80K model S 75D with federal tax credit for both. I have an early reservation, so should get it soon enough. Hard to spend 25K more but bigger, safer is how I am rationalizing it.

I was just on the phone with my DS regarding changing my RWD 75 to 75D. She said changes can be made as long as your Tesla is more than 3 weeks outside date of production start. She quoted a 500$ modification fee. Does anyone know if the 500$ mod fee can be waived?

Went with a new custom order. That's going to delay delivery but with all this talk of 85 kWh I figured getting it slightly later might be worth it.

I would wait till they refresh the interior and the touchscreen. Maybe even til the FSD starts out.
