Can you part pay on credit card? I'll have all but about $5k in the bank ready to go. And can pay off $5k fairly quickly so I don't think getting finance (particularly with Peppers exit fees) it is good value compared to sucking up the interest on my MasterCard for a couple of months.

Yeah, its more expensive (in the US) and its not commonly available. The only ones available in the US are inventory - not for custom order. And its not available to order here anymore. Pretty happy to have a unicorn in-transit to me though :D

As my post above, you'll need to put in an isolator anyway. You can then unwire the HPWC and cap the outlet of the isolator when you go. If you put in a three phase socket you could leave without re-hiring an electrician though.

The one I have for my OpenEVSE is the same one they take apart at about 8:30 in that video. I'm only using it indoors so I think it will be fine. The pins look like decent quality silver to me. I'll keep an eye on it.

There is a reasonable argument for these having limited availability. P3D- was an on-menu choice for RHD market orders in May and June this year. It has now been dropped however. It's possible they had an excess of parts from that adventure that made selling a few LHD P3D- in the US a good idea...

I bought this lead for my OpenEVSE and its exactly the same cable and plugs as the one pictured on EcoGeeks' site. This one seems to be the same/brand in Type2-Type2 3 phase 32A. Bit more expensive than the one I linked to above and have in my possession now.

Not only did they do it before - they are shipping P3D- cars to Australia and the UK right now. We only get the SR+, P3D- and P3D+. No LR RWD or AWD.
