Did you get the update when in for a service, or just on wifi/3G? I think there are some roads that it makes sense on (fundamentally no more complex stretches than say, crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge which has narrow lanes), but also agree use on other types of roads doesn't sound wise at...

Take a look at my posts at Thinkware F770 - it explains how to get parking mode working, all by tapping into the power near the mic and the rear vision mirror. The only thing that doesn't work properly (for some reason) is WiFi on the F770.

No issue in changing it - if anything it is too precise a title for where the discussion has gone :) ie, a specific version being referred to, whereas this thread has turned into a discussion of which version AP2 cars in AU have received.

Yep, only ever had a cheap B class when getting a Mercedes serviced in Sydney.

Careful going over the crests of hills too - I've had rapid breaking when on TACC. I think it detects objects (clouds, or trees) as other cars when going over the crest.

Does your F770 record in continuous mode for a sustained period of time when on the microphone plug? I haven't gotten as far as leaving it in the car in a drive since I wanted to connect over wifi to position the camera correctly on the windscreen.

17.5.28 installed this evening. I went on a couple of short drives, but the camera was still in calibration mode. After a 20km drive or so I parked. Got back in an autosteer and TACC were available.

If LME are doing the install they'll likely refuse to install it without an isolation switch. I was advised it's a legal requirement.

Definitely keen to understand the best way to mount a dashcam in one. I'd be pretty surprised if the 12V behind the mirror is still the same given addition wiring needed for the front facing camera.

Yep, already checked for them, and definitely nothing around the dates of in prod/out of production.

I've also had no automated emails about the process after the order was confirmed. The website shows that it went into production and is now in transit (to Australia). No delivery estimate yet - I assume something will show up eventually in My Tesla.
