I just don’t see the point in leasing a car, or buying a used car / cheap new car where I’ll be spending only a couple hundred less than what I would with a M3
Using that rule, I’d have to live with my parents with a POS car and live frugally for 5 years. It’s also not a toy. It’s the safest car out there and that’s a huge priority.
I have little interest in going oversees. I do have a lot of interest in driving around the country to every MLB stadium and every NHL arena, and this car would be the best for that. It's $200-$300 more a month than the cheapest best option in a Honda Civic. And I think it is worth it
If I were to pick up my Model 3 on June 25th, and I paid, for example, $3,000 in federal taxes. Would I receive the $3,000 in tax credit, or would I not get any of it? Because in that case, I think it would be better to wait until July.
The only thing I dont pay for is rent / utilities because I obviously live with my parents. I could move in with my friend for $500 a month which includes rent / utilities, and I still have plenty of money left over. I dont understand what everyone freaks out about
I keep finding articles online that say you shouldn't spend more than 20% of your monthly income on car expenses. With this rule, I am far from being able to afford a Model 3. But the thing is is that I can pay off the estimated loan, insurance, and electricity costs only 6 days into the month...
Do you think the price of the Model 3 will increase in a year, decrease, or stay the same? The price isn’t too steep right now, and the 5,000 miles of free supercharging is a great deal, and I’m trying to decide when to purchase the car
So the total price for the car would be $48,370. After my $2,500 deposit, that would be $45,870. If I were to get approved for a loan from my credit union for that exact amount ($45,870), I would be able to take that check to pick up my car and leave without spending another dime?
I am looking to purchase a Model 3 with a final price of $44,500, before taxes and fees. Sales tax in my state (MI) would cost $2,670. Then there is a $1,200 destination and doc fee. Are there any other fees included with the purchase?
I understand that Michigan has the most expensive insurance in the country, but the rates I have been getting have been ridiculous. With 8 cameras always running, and the security that the Model 3 has, how is the insurance not lower?
Currently insured with State Farm and the Model 3 would be...
1. Is the sales tax (6%) due at signing, or will it be included in the monthly loan payments?
2. I live in Michigan, so would I be paying the 6% sales tax, or since it would be delivered to the closest Tesla dealership (Cleveland), would I be paying the 5.75% sales tax?
3. What other fees are...
