Tesla Model X P90DL Price check & questions

From the picture, it has the 20" wheels. I think >200 miles should be very doable with moderate weather and speed. Personally I think the paint problem can be easily addressed with good detailing and dent repair and/or with full dark/matt body wrap to hide every thing. The scratch on the trim...

    Model X: Delivery Frustrations

The paint bubbles can be fixed, but the panel misalignment and gaps may not be. They seem to be a common issue with Telsa cars. Personally, I can live with some misalignment issues as long as they are not too obvious. In fact, I'm a little afraid they will mess it up more by trying to fix it.

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

Wait, I thought Raven X started April 2019, so most likely you have a Raven refreshed X. Did you check if you have the lane departure warning turned on, eg. it's vibration warning not shudder?

2019 Model X Raven: Lease or Finance?!

What's the over mileage charge for Telsa MX? Do you expect to drive more than 10K/year? Financing would give you more flexibility in the amount of miles you can drive. Also if you are leasing a luxury car like MX for business, not all lease payment can be written off. You need to calculate the...

    Questions for 5-Seater Owners

I have a 5-seater. Because: 1. There're 4 people in my family. 5-seater gives the largest cargo space. I also have a 8-seater van if I really need to haul people. 2. The 2nd row has more leg room and can completely fold flat. 3. I don't like MS because of the seating position. I like to sit up...

Ordered custom built out of inventory?

No that was it. So you should get a price adjustment before taking delivery.

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

Not necessarily. This year, the best time to buy was April and May. In April Tesla started cutting MS prices on the high end PL and allowed people to remove L to save another $20K. So many bought MS P100Ds in $70K range. In May, they gave out L for free to existing S/X owners and started cutting...

Ordered custom built out of inventory?

Congrats! Just in case you didn't know, MX LR had some price reductions yesterday. Depending on your color choice, it could be as much as $8K. If you haven't gotten price adjustment, you should talk to your OA. I'm sure they will do it gladly.

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

Did they really increase some prices? If so, then you have a valid point. I wouldn't tell which ones without the old data to compare with, but I assume you probably do.
  10. T

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

I don't think they were fat finger mistakes, otherwise, the prices wouldn't have stayed until today. Personally, given the differences between Raven and pre-Raven, CPOs vs new, if the saving is not more than $12-15K, it's not worth it. Because you also have to consider fed and state tax credits...
  11. T

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

You can search for CPOs here https://ev-cpo.com/hunter/ But IMO, there're no GREAT deals left. Tesla might have to drop the prices on the remaining ones again to clear them out.

Free Ludicrous Upgrade for Existing Owners

How? I logged into my account. Click on "Design Yours" under model X. The performance MX LR Performance which now includes Ludi is $20K more than the base LR. If the Ludi is free, it should be $10K more like the original cost of P vs base. Just because you don't see the Ludi option anymore...

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

85000 + 6000 + 6000 - 82900 = 14100 which is not too bad. Also I'd take FSD over 22" any day. You should also consider fed tax credit of $1875 + any state credit you can get with new purchase + slightly better warranty.
  14. T

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

Because it's used, if you're having it transported, you will probably lose the $2K transport fee. Local pick up should be ok to back out anytime before actually picking up.
  15. T

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

$7000 is a tough call. There were some with FSD this morning. If you have gotten one of those, it would have been $12000 difference.
  16. T

All Used Model X Priced the SAME!

Yes, there's some good deals. But then the new MXs are also $6K - $8K (depending on color) less then yesterday.

What Is Your Line Of Work

The cost of MX is not nearly as bad if it can be used/claimed as business asset/use. So it can be depreciated over time. It's the same as spending pre-tax vs post-tax money. So if your tax bracket is 25% (Fed + state), your personal MX's cost is suddenly 33% (roughly) more expensive (comparing...

Should I buy this Inventory or Order New Raven?

Also I forgot to mention, 22" reduces towing capacity from 5000lb to 3500lb. It might not be a problem for most. They are made purely for racing. For everyday use 20" is much better. If you like the black look, an alternative is to get the sonic carbon 20". They used to be an option but now only...

Should I buy this Inventory or Order New Raven?

So sounds like it's a pre-Raven, MX100D, which make sense, since it comes with free SC. I'd only take it if it has FSD, or remove FSD to save another $5K. An exactly configured Raven refreshed model would be $104,500 + $1200 (dest fee) = $105,700. So your saving is $11,100 + fed tax credit...

Is This A Good Inventory Deal For A P+l?

Did the website show $2K transportation fee? All of inventory cars that I see now don't have the $2K, only used ones do. You should have received an order agreement as soon as you pay the deposit, if it's not on it, you shouldn't have to pay. I bought an inventory MX from Seattle shipped to San...

Is This A Good Inventory Deal For A P+l?

What destination fee of $2K? The new car destination fee is $1125. You shouldn't have to pay extra transportation fee ($2K), at least I didn't. As for the price, the difference is not that significant from new (to be a slam dunk deal). Basically you are trading saving $9000 + Free SC against 0...

Which X and options are best for us?

It all comes down to affordability. If your family can afford it without tightening the belt, there should be very little convincing you need. It's the coolest SUV you can buy hands down. Let the kids do the talking.
  25. T

Which X and options are best for us?

I would prefer 5 or 7 seats over 6. 5 seats gives you the most leg room for the 2nd row and most cargo space. 7 seats ($3000 option) gives the most flexibility with slightly smaller 2nd row leg room and both 2nd and 3rd seat fold flat. The 6 seats ($6000 option) gives you more comfortable power...

    Question about options model X

The rule of thumb is not to buy any new car in its first year of production unless you have to have the cool factor. I'm sure your wife doesn't want to be the beta tester for some new tech toys.

Inventory discount on 75d worth it?

Because of the free supercharging, all the good deals are gone, as there're very few 2018s left to sell. They probably won't discount 2019s until late 2019 or 2020. So looks like the window for best prices may have passed. There were literally 50-60 MXs for sale every time you search. Now, less...

MODEL X - HOW TO PURCHASE?

The tax reduction is about $1900 and IMO free SC is worth about $500 - 600/year (~2K miles/year charging). So that's your opportunity cost for waiting until after June 30th. Also it would be helpful to share the deal you're getting to judge if it's worth it.

    Model X Inventory Cars

I agree, the free SC moved a lot of cars, especially the MXs. There's hardly any left in stock. I was lucky enough to have grabbed an inventory one before the announcement, and added the free SC to my order after but before taken delivery. Prices are now generally $7-8K more than before.

Removing Model X Front License Plate Bracket?

I took delivery my MX 100D from San Diego's, Kearny Mesa center. No front plate installed. The paper plate was left in the truck for me. There're a lot of MXs on the road without the front plate. If I get a fix-it ticket, I will look for an after market solution without having to drill.

Got delivery today, but back seat seems to be soaked

Looks like someone left the window down when it rained. For 10K discount, it's probably not worth the risk. Is it 2018 or 2019? How many miles on ODO when you got it? But you do lose the Free SC, which is a big deal to many.
  32. T

Model X price cut by $2000

I think the free SC is specifically designed to move old inventories. So it might not be there for too long. Looks like, looks like lots of them are being sold today.
