Refresh Model X & S Waiting Room - AUSTRALIA (Orders cancelled by Tesla May2023)

Seems that Tesla have just mirrored the US image. Same shading on dash/background. For the external vehicle picture it's the same vehicle, driver and background,

HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 versus TESLA MODEL 3 | Wheels Australia

The point is that Hyundai have stripped out a heap of functionality to get the vehicles to market. When that functionality is added back (particularly app functionality) the resale value of the early vehicles will suffer over/above standard depreciation. For me personally the app was the...

HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 versus TESLA MODEL 3 | Wheels Australia

Cancelled my Ioniq 5 order. Hyundai Australia clearly not ready for this vehicle. Vehicle being delivered without an app as it hasn’t been finalised yet. No retrospective fitting. Heads up display and interior V2L removed also. Dealers seem completely in the dark too. A very impressive vehicle...

Model 3 SR+ MY21 delivery wait times in Australia

FYI delivery timelines have blown out to 8-12 weeks for new orders (updated on Tesla website earlier today). Longest delivery wait since switching to China builds.

    Used Model X Prices

I should add, my pricing referred to low km examples. Mine had around 10k km.

    Used Model X Prices

Been like it for years I’m afraid. Model S also. A few low mileage 2018 Model X 100D sold for $130-145k last year (mine included). Prices should be lower now, but as noted the lack of new options coupled with strength in the broader used vehicle market is supporting pricing. Not many sell...

    Model S & X orders ‘End of 2022’

We recently sold our S (in advance of receiving the now later-than-anticipated new Model S). Picked up an iPace to tie us over and very very impressed. Sublime handling and quality interior. Shame it doesn’t come with Tesla infotainment!

Plaid S in the wild photos

The original poster has now stated on Twitter that he doesn't believe this is a Plaid vehicle and is potentially a simple external refresh for the Model S (similar to what we saw for Model 3 in September). I am more comfortable with that opinion, albeit a little disappointed that the external...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

H Have been thinking about this given the conflicting reports. Wondering if the new 'metallic' scroll wheels have led to Tesla heating the steering wheel (otherwise they'd be quite cold in winter for the first few minutes if an owner hasn't preheated the cabin)

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Australia/NZ are expecting arrival of refreshed Model 3s in approx 3 weeks ... feels like one of the first, if not the first, region to receive them given MIC Model 3s for Europe only left China today.
  16. D

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

I was speaking with another TOCA member yesterday and we feel that it is possible that Australia/NZ will be the first globally to receive the refreshed Model 3s (due in approx 3 weeks). Would be an interesting turn of events as we generally look to US for the latest Tesla update videos/articles.

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

Thankfully, and appropriately, not for Australia yet. Of interest - does anyone have reliable confirmation that all 2021 US Model 3s now have a heat pump?

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

Thoughts on timeframe Veda? Given the 4-8week delivery timeframe I imagine a ship would need to leave US within the next fortnight.

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

That surprises me. My P+ Sep 2019 delivered was within $300 of the current price. However, my P- Sep 2019 delivered MSM was $95.5k (no FSD). Given P- prices equalled LR prices I see the new prices as substantially cheaper now for the LR (by approx $3k) and for that they now include the new...

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

I had a quickly look at one of my P+ invoices from the first batch last year and it’s now very slightly under that price (white on white). The LR surprised me, I never had one on order, but I’m pretty sure it’s never been that low (NSW was early $90ks I believe vs $89k now). Plus it now...

Will be interesting to see whether the used Model 3's on Carsales are price adjusted now.

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

Given they have updated the Model 3 globally I don't imagine that necessarily means any change in manufacturing country for Australia

An early order then. As some others mentioned, Tesla raised their prices later in the year.

Model 3 Australia - Massive Price Cut

Which Model 3 did you buy James? Post the price increases late last year (if I recall correctly) the differences are actually in the $7-10k range. Tesla seem to have provided Australia with their FX rate pricing reduction at the same time as the model 'refresh' (US didn't see price...

    New, Plaid, Model S

Although I was thinking today that its impressive that it will be cheaper than a P100D ~3 years ago. (Realised this as noticed that a new Performance is cheaper than a 75D in 2017).

    New, Plaid, Model S

I've ordered - but taking delivery will be dependent on the final product. Expecting (hoping for!) at least an interior refresh.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Hi Grenadine, Where did you see that non-Raven Model S' have received this update/grade? I'd read it was Raven-only in twitter. Happy if not! thanks.

    New and Used Prices

Congratulations EcoCloud. Great result. How long was it for sale? There are always exceptions to the rule ... and 'less educated' Tesla buyers (which isn't hard given the plethora of specification changes). The sale of one vehicle with limited depreciation does not a market make. Just 31%...
  34. D

    New and Used Prices

I don't disagree that original purchase prices were higher, but unfortunately that doesn't (or at least shouldn't) determine used values. Used values are generally a spread from current new prices ....when new prices fall so will used, otherwise the incentive to buy used isn't there. Likewise...

    New and Used Prices

Having just sold our second family ICE vehicle (literally yesterday) I am now in the market for another Tesla. Still dismayed at the used pricing .... 4/5 year old vehicles still advertised @ ~60% of the 'new' value of much improved vehicles (e.g. 2015 S70D for $70k + stamp duty vs. new s75D...

    New and Used Prices

    Insane!
  38. D

    New and Used Prices

I could be wrong, but I suspect the seller looked at the other 'way overpriced' Model X for sale (the black one for ~$185k). The stamp duty on $178k would put it into X P100D new vehicle territory! I'm thinking the used market will continue like this for a few more months
  39. D

    New and Used Prices

Interesting update on Carsales ... this seller just put the price of his, arguably already over-priced, Model X up by $16k!
  40. D

    New and Used Prices

Aren't you excluding the cost of wheels in your calcs? New Raven with wheels is $158k in NSW. Certainly priced better than a lot of vehicles on Carsales (some are laughable), although on reflection if it's an early 2018 then perhaps it should be cheaper. When questioning the seller doesn't...

    New and Used Prices

@paulp - had mine transferred in about 2 hours. Seems unusual that you are waiting so long. Agree with most regarding pricing .... have been watching used values since Feb/March and we are only now seeing realistic pricing and some sales. The white 2018 S 100D just advertised on Carsales...

    Looking for X 100D 2018/2019

The most recent sale I've seen is a white 2017 X100D @ $100k. Unsure if member car, but sat for sale for ages and was then reduced and sold quickly. A 2017 X P100D with all options ticked sold for approx $130k ... so agree that the above is too expensive.

My first solar- and PW2-powered electricity bill

Also had solar and PW2 installed 1 August. Very impressed so far. Only used 80kwh this month and sent 190kwh back to the grid. With any luck our bill will just be the standing daily charge. Payback is much better when factoring the use of an EV (even of considering EV using just grid).

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

At the outset I’ll state that I hope this helps ease some minds, but I also appreciate if some want to see their vehicles before ‘believing’ ... and I get that. Yesterday it was stated very clearly to me, by a Tesla employee, that Model 3’s arrived in Sydney @ approx 11.30am (that would make it...
