Tesla Announces Color-Change Wrap Service in China

Thank you! Was looking at this myself. Saw that the car pictured in yellow was a Model X, not a Model Y as mentioned in the article. They should correct the article.

Roundtrip from Seattle DT to Mt Rainier (Tolmie Peak) ?

I drove from South Seattle up to Paradise in my SR+ (240 mi) and back, so I'm sure you'll be fine in the LR. I gained about 12 - 15 mi of charge dropping down from Paradise to the entrance of the park. I got close to empty when I was done with the trip (188 mi trip) but there's always Auburn...

    Supercharger - Auburn, WA

Auburn is a great place to top off before heading up there. Turn regen on max (I always keep mine on max, but others do not) before heading back down from Paradise. It took me a while to learn to keep it at 60 or lower if I was worried about range. I got scared after making it to Paradise...

Tips / costs for buying in Seattle / WA State

On my M3 SR+, I just did my tabs and they cost $680. The car cost $45K (tax, title, etc.) to buy in Jun 2019 (41K w/out tax). The RTA excise tax was $387. Remember that your car is a year older when you renew your tabs, and I think the RTA is based on the current estimated value of your car. ..

    Supercharger - Portland, OR - N. Pavilion Ave. (LIVE Jul 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

What are you talking about? There's one in...[checks notes] Tigard! [whispers to person behind him] Where's Tigard? But seriously, there's not even one in downtown Seattle that you don't have to pay extra to park at, and we have many many apartments and condos, as the denizens of Ballard can...

    Battery Conditioning Notice

JulienW's earlier post has a picture from June 2019 showing the preconditioning notice. That indicates the notice has been there at least 8 months.

MASTER THREAD: V 2019.40.1.1 170kW charging, Neural Net for Auto Wipers, Auto Lane Change quicker

Yesterday it was raining (as usual here in Seattle) and the caution popped up that multiple cameras were blocked. If that happens when it rains, how is FSD (assuming FSD is camera dependent) ever going to become a thing here in Seattle in the winter?

No spare tire caused a huge inconvenience

There is another option to deal with a flat (especially one with sidewall damage) that I haven't heard mentioned yet. Buy the tire, with rim, ahead of time and keep it at home, just in case. Then have someone bring you the tire (or uber/lyft home to get the tire), and you replace it or Tesla...

Tracking Trip Details for business expense purposes

https://www.trinitypud.com/pdf/rates/schedule-1-residential.pdf That is really cheap. I thought WA state had the cheapest electricity in the nation at 8 cents per kWh.

    New 40.50 Software

I was wrong. Got out to my car and tried what I thought was the way to control the climate from the scroll wheel (after reading posts on here), and it didn't work. I didn't realize this was a thread just for Model Ss (was just looking for a thread on the new software update and found this...

    New 40.50 Software

M3 SR+. Got 40.50 last night on Christmas Eve. It was the one present I opened the day before Christmas because I found it hard to increase or decrease the temp in the car by touchscreen when not stopped. Now I read this thread and learn that I could have controlled the climate from the scroll...

MASTER THREAD: V 2019.40.1.1 170kW charging, Neural Net for Auto Wipers, Auto Lane Change quicker

I have an M3 SR+ and this is how I make the Wipers come on in AUTO: On the stalk on the left hand side of the steering column, I half press the button on the end of the stalk. Then the wipers come on and wipe one cycle (fully to the left and back down). If I did a full press instead, then wiper...

Range increase (split from Master Thread: 2019.40.2)

I wonder if in 40.2.1 the Range shown in miles increases if you have the regen set to Hold instead of Roll or Creep. I will check my M3 SR+ when I leave work and report back.

    True One Pedal Driving

My one pedal driving stopped working recently. When I looked at the controls to try to change it, the controls are on "Roll" instead of "Hold" and the button is grayed out so that I can't change it. (M3 SR+) Anyone else experience this? Edit: Whoops, NM, found the thread talking about it.

Interesting! Can you tell me where you saw that (both that it was limited and that it was going to be removed)? Was it in the release notes for the last update?

    Supercharger - Auburn, WA

I went there last night, 11/23, to supercharge in my 2019 M3 SR+. To get the Supercharger to show up on the navigation and direct me to the Supercharger, I used the Supercharger "button" on the far right of the screen. Don't know if the car was pre-heating the battery for charging or not. Ended...

    Supercharger - Auburn, WA

What about taking the Narrows bridge (Highway 16) over after supercharging at Auburn? Not as far out of the way, and you don't incur the expensive ferry fares. Although, there is a toll charge coming back over the Narrows if you plan on supercharging at Auburn on the way back as well.

EVs Eligible For Full Federal Tax Credit Through 2019

I think because the Karma Revero (and future Revero GT) is a hybrid car, not fully electric car. The rebates are for fully electric cars. Karma has a concept all electric car, but it's not out yet. Is $135,000 Too Much To Pay For The 2020 Karma Revero GT? @ Top Speed

Pacific Northwest Owners (Seattle, Portland, or towns/cities in the region)

The downtown Seattle one is inside a parking garage where you have to pay for parking AND pay for Supercharging, according to the stories from people who have been there and shared about it on the plugshare.com site. Not really like the majority of the Superchargers where you can park for free...

$0.28/kWhr. ====== Went to the Gorge to see Mumford and Sons! It was awesome. Afterwards on the way back to the car, we were herded by the crowd in the wrong direction. The app with the GPS location of the M3 guided us straight back to the Tesla! The people in my group were actually arguing...

Really looking forward to this. Right now, I can do Mt. Rainier but it takes some planning and careful driving. Would be nice to have some leeway with Supercharging on the way back.

South Seattle, M3SR+ here. Owner since 6/15. Going to the Gorge on Friday and looking forward to supercharging on the way back. Drove up to Mt. Rainier (98.9 miles) a couple of weeks ago, using 147 miles of charge, but only used 52 miles of charge on the way back. Want to go out on the peninsula...

Navigation sent me to a non-existent supercharger

The website for this google listing is the Teslamotorsclub.com site, so I guess it's fitting that its members are the ones trying to remove it. I have suggested the edit of removal for being non-existent for this place. Thanks for the instructions, sduck!

Navigation sent me to a non-existent supercharger

New M3 SR+ owner. Went on a hike out to Rattlesnake Ledge (beautiful hike but VERY crowded) and wanted to try out a supercharger on my way back, even though I had plenty of charge left to get back home. Entered in "Supercharger" in the navigation, and the Issaquah one came right up so I selected...

Supercharger cost, per minute vs per kwh

I just went to my first supercharger located in Issaquah, WA, to charge my M3 SR+. The amount charged was 11 kWh @ $0.25/kWh. In WA, we have some of the lowest electricity rates in the nation at about $0.08/kwh. I assumed the extra charge (no pun intended) was to pay for the infrastructure costs...

    Auto Wipers Worked!

There's a lot of variability in terms of how often the wipers turn on and what people determine as low visibility or not. If you don't like the auto version, switch it to continuous slow or intermittent slow, as per pg. 55 of the manual. Tesla recommends the first 4 non-AUTO settings while the...

Use Referral Code Link To Order... Period.

Yup, had the same issue. Tried multiple referral codes gotten while in the Tesla Store with Gary of Bellevue Tesla. None worked. Gary said, it's okay you can add by end of month. That turned out not to be true. Also, he told me that the charging station was a "split-phase" only item that had to...

People are crazy not to buy Tesla cars!

I'm 6'6". Most people consider me tall. I test drove a Tesla and it won me over with the telescoping steering wheel and lowered seats that allowed me to get waaaaay more comfortable than driving in other EVs (like the Chevy Bolt) or in my 2007 Gen 2 Prius (my back-up car).

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

On 6/7/19, ordered a Tesla Model 3 SR+, basic black, standard everything with no other extras, no trade-in, to be delivered to South Seattle. It'll arrive Saturday 6/15/19. That is a LOT faster than I thought it would be.
