Hi, I'm awaiting a salvaged door handle, I reckon it is the epoxy sealed controller inside the door handle that has failed.

Mine just failed completely!.. doesn't present (no attempt too), and if I use a credit card to pull handle, nothing happens!... only bit working is the led. Inspected the assembly, wires and microswitches, but all look OK, and microswitches work. Any ideas ? What's odd.. is this happened the...

I've also noticed this. Over the last 6 weeks I've seen a slow increase in range, and available battery capacity via SMT. Mine is an 2014 MS60, and Nominal full pack has gone from 49.3kWh, to 50.6kWh. As a result, typical (UK) range has increased from 159 to 166 miles, and rated miles from 200...

Source of data via CANBUS. As mentioned need more data to get a better spread.

It would appear that uncapped batteries at 100% have a Vmax of 4.18V (2% down from 4.2V), this is from a 2017 Model S75 with around 30k miles. Looking at usable capacity, this is now 70.9kWh, which is 2% down from its official usable capacity of 72.5kWh. Without getting a spread of data, Tesla...

Mines a 2014 MS60, if it where to fail, what would expect it to be replaced with ?

My usable full pack capacity has now reached the lowest ever !.. even lower than after the May update. Now downto 46.6kWh (MS60). Not good :( almost as low as the original MS40 !

Teslafi new battery report is very useful, mine compared to another S60 owner, with the same odometer range in the last 6 months has seen a range difference of 18 miles increasing to 24 miles!.. 6 months ago they where on 186 miles, mine 168, theirs is now 185 miles mine is 161 !.. clearly not...

Any battery expert know what to expect with respect to cell voltage when under load (say heater in Max, and foot to the floor?) Mine under heater load, some packs drop from 3.655V to 3.611V, and under heavy load, due to TMSPY scanning cell voltages, I can see a 600mV voltage drop!

I do :) , just demonstrates Tesla are trying to hide the truth by making the range look better when it really is, and if based on the original efficiency when new, rated range would be 193 miles not 206 !

Some stats that don't add up. I have an MS60 2014, available capacity from new was 58.6kWh. Available capacity as of today 47kWh (via SMT). UK rated when new was 242 miles, rated miles now 206 miles. 58.6kWh downto 47kWh is approx. 20% reduction yet 242 to 206 is only 15% ? Is this downto Tesla...

Interesting that Tesla have decided to exclude the original 60kWh battery from the 70% degredation in the new warranty!? It only has the 8 years OR 150,000 mile battery/drivetrain warranty

I had a period of charging to 75%, range stayed pretty constant with 2019.36.2.7, then 2019.40.2.3 came along and the range started dropping ! And hasn't stopped !.. I'm almost at the same range I was after the 2019.16.2 update ! :(.. and have rarely supercharged since.. not happy :(

I did a trip yesterday, 97% to 11% = 117miles ! :(, 136 miles total. Was 9degC, no range mode, and had heater on.

Since 40.2 I've seen a very steady drop in range !.. lost 2 miles since 9th Jan, lost 11 miles in total since November. Been charging from around 40% to 75%.. and not been any higher since the new year. I thought the whole point of voltage capping was to reduce battery degradation? I guess not...

The scale can be deceiving, this my 60kW pack at 30% SoC, at two scales :)

What's the verdict on updating to 40.2.3 ? I've not yet pulled the trigger !

Mines the S60, so weighs less than the S85, by about 300lb ?, so 550lb in total ?, I only have RWD, so don't have the added weight of the dual motor config, so maybe less in total ?

Only problem with 100 pack is it needs air suspension, quite a few Model S (including mine) have Springs !

Many of us lost around 30 to 40 miles of range overnight, how would react if your M3 LR was reduced to almost an M3 SR+ ? Also, how would you feel if your super fast charging that was over 150kWh was reduced to 75kWh ?

Owners who have updated to 40.2.3 are now reporting that the battery cooling fan runs continuously (even when off), if battery is >= 90% SoC !

We've done a poll on the the UK Tesla facebook group, and looks to be around 10% of owners are affected, 495 (not affected) vs 47 (affected).

Surely the courts can demand Tesla to extract the BMS data using their own software tools ? This data can then be compared to 3rd party diagnostic tools such as ScanMyTesla ? Why would Tesla deny the courts this data if they have nothing to hide !

Mine has seen a 3 mile drop over the last three updates; 2019.28.3.1 = 168 miles 2019.32.1 = 168 miles 2019.32.2.2 = 168 miles 2019.32.12.8 = 166 miles 2019.36.2.7 = 165 miles I've driven about 1000 miles between range dropping from 168 to 165, and only charged via AC ! ..

Do we know if owners with free super charging are the only ones being affected by chargegate ? Anyone recently bought an older CPO recently with free super charging removed having charge gate issues?

UK spec uses rated and typical, typical is the same as rated, and rated is the same as real in the US Is yours is 168 rated miles ? If so that is the same as my 168 typical miles When new rated was 242, typical was 208. Interestingly, the percentage drop is not the same ! 242 to 211 = 13%...

I've also noticed further range reduction since V10 :(. I'm using CAN bus data, My S60 typical has dropped from 169 to 166, and total capacity has dropped from 51.4kWh to 50.7Kwh. Just before V10 capacity fluctuated from 51.2 to 51.6Kwh, never went below 51.2, so this is real ! :(. The lowest it...

Below centre console where diagnostic connector is, there is a black box velcro'd where the top of the cubby tray fits. Pull off velcro and unplug it. The black box has sim slot labelled on it.

Why don't you unplug the LTE module under the centre console ?

Yep I got affected also with my S60 :( , Vmax dropped to 4.077V, increased to 4.088V when others had a slight increase. No change in Vmax or range since. 90% of charging since has been AC in the hope the BMS might be kind and give me some range back ! . UK rated is now 213, typical is 168...
