That could work well, but are there special screws one can use to stop a thief making off with the cable armed with a Philips screwdriver?

Has anyone figured out a way to lock a charging cable to a socketed charger? Thinking of just leaving the cable plugged in but want some sort of anti-theft protection.

Mine were replaced by Bosch ones last week. The loaner I had was also fitted with Bosch ones too. They charge £59 to replace so better getting them online.

HHudson, which installer did you go via? I have been in contact with TechforEnergy but they have the Rolec supply issue so looking into other Rolec installers.

Seriously ask about inventory cars. There's a blue S85, 19", tech+autopilot, textile, piano black, dual and supercharger for £61.3k.. So 2k off with zero miles. Also check out demo or inventory cars. They had a few 'new' cars with autopilot that were arriving imminently. Even these had some discount though small. Extras that are essential are supercharger (incl with 85kw) and Tech. Other options I suppose one can live without. Dual motor I thought...

Picking up my inventory car tomorrow! S85 tech air rear sound for £17k off list :) No autopilot is a bummer but I figure I'm more than happy to do all the driving ;)

Formula for inventory cars is 2% a month and 70p per mile. Tesla UK have a 7mth old S85 tech air and rear seats going for 52k.

Cyrus, I believe that uses a J1772 adaptor so not possible to charge ModelS. EV Power did say may build another charging lot there and use the mennekes adaptor, but no timeline. It's really frustrating cos there's no where to charge for us in TKO!

DITB - I changed my configuration to my signature. Basically P85 -> S60, but went for brown.

Wow looks like we won't have to wait much longer. I just hope they give us enough notice before delivery cos we need to get rid of our dinosaurs and sort out insurance and any financing.

I've been told no plans for 3-phase charging atm... Clearly they think the strategy is owners will charge at home and single phase would be plenty provided they are allowed to install the MPWC.

Yea they've update the design studio to show 40A wall connector included with car, but also says necessary equipment to charge on the road.. Wonder what that will be if UMC no longer included..

The HK specifications website had the same wording before it was changed. I'm sure thats not the final final spec.

Got some further details from Tesla rep... I guess onus really is on those without a private parking space like myself to figure it out. Somewhat disappointed here. They also confirmed Twin Charger not going to be worth it without the HPWC.

Where I live, theres a "Semi-Fast Type 1 (SAE-J1772)" charging station by HK EV Power in the car park. I'm just wondering if having a dual charger will give me any benefit. On the website the instructions says "Semi‐Fast Charging refers to 20A‐32A SAE Socket" and can charge a Leaf in 2-3 hours...

Unless other end of cable is connected to a regular 13A socket I suppose.. Probably more likely in residential car park overnight charges.

I would say the HK prices reflect the increase as its simply the US price (post increase) + US$3,500, and converted to HKD.

Hi sonywong. When is your estimated delivery date? I noticed the site now says Winter 2013 for all Model S deliveries and if I try upgrade to a signature via My Tesla, delivery is early 2014.

From Canadian and Oz market indications, hopefully it will be US pricing x FX + delivery. If so, it will compare 5 series pricing which is great! What specs are HKers going for? Performance or 40kWh? Range wise deffo 40kWh is enough but people here love driving their supercars at 30mph traffic!!
