Removing scratches in trunk plastic trim

Unfortunately, not. I looked into some solutions like heating up the plastic and trying to smooth them out but didn’t trust myself to not make it look worse.

    Snow, Ice, and regenerative braking

Same experience for me in off-road mode over snowy mountain passes in CO. I can get a little fishtailing on hard regen w/o off-road mode but it feels super stable with it on and both front and rear motors have been activated.

Has anyone with the old windshield washer system changed to the new one?

its actually a heated wiper park so the area just below the windshield where the wipers sit is heated, not the wipers themselves

    Colorado Registration Timeline

I just moved here so a little hazy on the details. I purchased the vehicle in Utah and received a packet from Tesla including the title and some other documents. I’m assuming I’ll have to take this into the dmv and self-register to get my plate and pay sales tax? Sorry, this worked very...

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

That's fair but the times I've used it there were no lane lines anyways since they're covered in snow and I wouldn't want to use TACC due to the unpredictable drivers around me.

    Lifted Model Y Owners: Report!

The problem is that Tesla's traction control is very good but it's reactive so it quickly corrects once it feels slippage or fishtailing by turning on the front drive unit. This is because they are trying to keep the car in the most efficient mode by mostly only using the rear drive unit while...

    S3XY buttons at Abstract Ocean

I would buy these in a heartbeat if they added the ability to adjust the position of front seats from the rear seat. I believe the highland can do this now from the rear screen for the passenger seat if unoccupied. @dimitar.ns Whenever I use camp mode I move both front seats forward for more...

    Tesla Re-painted. Need some advice

This is concerning to me since I'm in the same position as you- found 2 minor scratches and a small ding in the rocker at delivery. Scheduled for service at Aurura SC and I'm worried about what they plan to do to fix them. In my opinion, both of the scratches could simply be buffed out and pdr...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

The discounts already came... I think that the confirmation that M3 will be losing fed credit and uncertainty about MY keeping them has spurred enough buying that they won't offer anything else.

2023 Model Y RWD vin assignment

I may have misremembered the missing footwell lighting and the descriptions do not mention anything about it so I'll edit that out if I can. However, the speaker is definitely different. The MY RWD demo vehicle I drove had 2k miles so I don't think break-in was an issue. It does have an amp so...

Dent removal in the rocker panel

I have an appointment with Tesla to remedy a few small delivery issues, including this rocker dent, so I'll see what they propose for the fix. I'm torn about whether it's better to just keep it as is if the repair is going to require body filler, paint, etc.

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

There's been no indication that MY will lose the fed credit like it has been confirmed for M3RWD and M3LR and it's a gamble on what will happen to prices. Even if it keeps fed credit, it could stay discounted as people holdoff for Juniper release or it could even go up if it's one of the only...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Yea, it's tempting but I know it would cost us a bit to do it (albeit less than it usually would after 2 years of ownership). I probably won't go through with it and wait until next year to see what happens re: if MYLR keeps $7.5k at PoS and decide then. The loss of USS is the only thing I might...

Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail 235/55r19 on Gemini wheels

Who know's? it is pretty dang flat in Denver but I was pretty surprised that even in the 90+ degree days this summer I was getting better efficiency than in 75 degrees in Seattle

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

Nice snag. We just picked up a M3 RWD because it was such a good value at $21,590 after all incentives($35,090 inv., $7.5k fed, $5k state, $1k cybertruck). Now I'm wondering if we shouldn't just get a new MYLR as well! If I can grab one at $45,560 (the lowest I've seen in inventory) I could get...

2023 Model Y RWD vin assignment

Unlike the MY AWD (4680) which had all of the same features as the MYLR/MYP, they have taken a more traditional "partial premium" approach to the new MY RWD similar to the M3 RWD. Missing: 4 less speakers, 1 less amp, no subwoofer Footwell lighting Fog lights Parcel shelf My impressions from...

Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail 235/55r19 on Gemini wheels

I got that same efficiency with my 19" OE Conti's when I lived in Seattle. Moved to Denver and was getting ~220wh/mi all summer on the same tires. Idk if it was all the hills in Seattle and constantly wet roads but my efficiency was always pretty bad there despite mild temps.

Picked up my inventory M3 RWD this Saturday in Utah (Pleasant Grove) and drove it back to Denver. Made a great trip out of it and was more impressed than expected with the quality improvements. I owned a 2018 M3 LR RWD and currently have a 2022 MYLR. The MY was definitely more solid than my 2018...

Do you get both $500 discount and 10,000 referral credit if you refer yourself?

You won't receive the FSD because you received the "Loyalty" referral credit since you've owned a tesla before. This will happen even if you've used someone else's referral link. Loyalty: Buyer: 10k credits, 6mo. Free SuC Referral: Buyer: 6mo. free SuC, 3mo. FSD Referrer: 10k credits

Registration / Title Question, Colorado EV Credit

I'm planning on taking delivery of new M3 in Utah in a few days and driving it back. It showed up in inventory under the "All Deliverable" filter and a sales advisor explained that Utah had an agreement with CO to sell to their residents. I'm worried that picking it up there will exclude me...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

I have kept an eye on inventory for the last few weeks and it looks like that process has slowed down just as it did in the last 2-3 weeks of Q3. In some locations, there were many discounted M3s (CO) down to the low of $35,090 and now they're all at 1% discount or MSRP for M3 RWD. I finally...

Referral Denied? Because I already own Tesla Products?

It wouldn't be stacked, you would only get 6mo. free. It is confusing because that is the loyalty offer but is available to everyone as an end-of-year incentive. The loyalty offer would also include 10k referral credits which you could redeem for acceleration boost, etc.

    Regenerative braking on icy roads

Based on a Bjorn video last year, Tesla did an update so that when the car detected wheel slippage it would automatically activate 50/50 mode for the next 30(?) min before reverting to the more efficient rear-biased driving mode. He had complained multiple times that they should include a "snow...

Referral Denied? Because I already own Tesla Products?

I was going to do this with my wife but there is no longer much of an advantage. If I referred my wife on her own account I would get 10k credits, she would get 6 months free supercharging (although that looks like its available to everyone who orders before the end of the year) and 3 months of...

    Woodpecker noise from dash

I had this issue on my old model 3 and I believe it’s due to the plastic creaking as it heats up. I removed the dash and removed any loose stickers from the manufacturing process and put down some foam tape to make the fit tighter so it couldn’t flex as much as the plastic heated up. Seemed to...

Comfort Suspension Not Much of an Improvement

I know the 2020 models rode harsh according to many people but I have a 01/22 MYLR that is pre-comfort suspension and thought it was pretty stiff. I just test drove a MY today on the newer comfort suspension and honestly couldn’t feel a difference. Maybe a little less harsh on dips in the road...

This is exactly my thinking…don’t NEED a second car right now but likely will in the next year and the inventory discounts, full fed tax credit and cybertruck discount are making me think we won’t ever see it this cheap again. Looks like the cheapest inventory cars have all gotten snagged at...

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

The critical minerals requirements for the battery are no longer allowed from a foreign country of concern (including China) next year causing the LFP to no longer qualify for the additional $3750, hence the reduction in credit for 2024.

MY 2024 Refresh - Project Juniper?

To me, the Highland changes would look so much better on the Y than the 3. The front end is a bit bulbous on the MY and the streamlined front looks much more proportional. I think it takes a little bit of character away from the 3.

Picture of your Model Y - Right Now!

They're just using a floor lift that is flush against the bottom of the car/ battery pack. At the Tesla SC they use 2 jacks with a puck on each. For example: I'm pretty sure it's fine (because they've done multiple times) but it is concerning that the Tesla manual and their techs don't lift...

road hazard certificate, is it worth buying them right after vehicle delivery?

Road hazard from DT only lasts 3 years. I’ve driven lots of mountain roads in the last 5 years of owning a Tesla and only had 1 flat that was repaired. I think the chances of a sidewall puncture that can’t be repaired is pretty rare

I know its probably asked a 1010101 times.. But TSportline 18" fit 2022 MYP..?

I decided to go with CC2s based on your review of the Quatrac Pros snow performance but unfortunately, they're not available in the 255/50/R19 size like I was hoping.
