We use them in Montana on our X and Y. Studded. They are in my opinion the best tire out there for bad conditions. They ARE very loud in the X, not so much in the Y.

2020.4.10 is installing now. I don't know if there are any significant updates in this version, but it is taking a LONG time to finish the install on my Raven.

Then you risk running the battery on the key fob down prematurely because it will be in constant contact with the vehicle and we all know that you can't just replace a battery on a Tesla key fob. It would be really nice if Tesla added an option that excluded "home" from the autolock feature.

Blind spot monitoring in this car is FAR behind the rear of the market. It also seems to work intermittently. I don’t trust it anymore. It seems like the model 3 implementation is a lot better.

Obviously any minimal traction loss on dry pavement is offset by the gains you get with them on ice. We have a lot of days like today where rapid temperature changes cause ice/black icing conditions on the roads. Studs really make a big difference.

Studded tires are specifically designed to provide superior traction on frozen snow and ice: Do you need studded winter tires? I used to run non studded winter tires on my vehicle and studded on my wife’s vehicle. Our weather trends with lots of snow/thaws/freezing cycles favors studded tires.

We run the studded version on ours. The studs wear out faster....
