New Jersey State to Ask EV Buyers To Pay 4 Years of Registration Up Front

It's not good but against the backdrop of no sales tax it's a little less of a sting. I think that could have been 100 bucks or so per year.

10 Reasons You Should Never Buy An EV (says MSN)

Some of the reasons are not welled reasoned. 3 in car app subscriptions. That's the same as ICE cars and it pisses me off in both cases. BMW was considering, and may have done, subscription heated seats. 5 Limited model variety isn't a reason to never buy, it may be a reason not to buy now...

Looks like Taycan prices are dropping rapidly as well

The DOJ Tesla probe has expanded to include EV driving ranges

I'm using real numbers. According to Edmund's it was 203, but I'm pretty sure when I got the car it said 199, but I'll look for the sticker. The Taycan is tied for 21 in the Edmund's article at 323 miles of tested range...

The DOJ Tesla probe has expanded to include EV driving ranges

That’s how it was in 21 and 22. They may have since changed the advertised range but it seems Porsche, MBZ and BMW all overachieve on range.

    F-150 Lightning Thoughts

I had a lightning lariat and I liked it a lot. I agree suspensions was a bit floaty but overall it was great and I did a long distance road trip in and it was great on the highway. I’d say blue cruise was ok, it confused now and again, but performed well overall. I sold when my Rivian arrived...

The DOJ Tesla probe has expanded to include EV driving ranges

My Model S rated 405 gets about the same range as my Porsche Taycan 4S rated at 199. It’s a bit under 340. The Porsche has the perf plus battery which I believe is 93.4 kWh. i just leased a EQS 580 sedan rated for 340 and can up a bit short in a test I saw with winter tires on it. I’m going to...

    Lucid

They appear to be great cars. I just leased a 2024 EQS 580 because it was my wife’s choice. The AMG line trim makes a bit nicer looking. I don’t love the exterior styling but the interior is pure S class. My wife absolutely loves it. Incredibly quiet cabin, the efficiency has been good and...

    Replacement for Model S/X?

very nice, I drove the i7 but ended up getting an EQS 580. I like them both but EQS leased a tad cheaper and then Amex had a huge rebate that put it over. iX looked really nice in showroom.

    Lucid

Has anyone checked out recent pricing incentives on 23 Lucis stock? Leases on grand torung models are under 1200 bucks per month not including 2k conquest cash, don't know brands but certainly assume tesla is part of it. The pricing for purchases is more than 20k off, although I'm becoming...

    Replacement for Model S/X?

M My 2020 S switch gear (stalks and windows) were Mercedes Benz. My car just prior to that was a 2017 S550 and I laughed when I got in the Model S and say the same trim pieces.

    Replacement for Model S/X?

@cptnslo wrt charging a large chunk of the SC network will be available. I’ve done about a half dozen multi-thousand mile road trips in recent years. I’ve had very few issues doing in my Taycan, F150 Lightning and Rivian. Tesla locations are more convenient and have better amneties but it...

    Replacement for Model S/X?

I stoped in and spoken to both a Mercedes Benz and BMW dealers. The iX, EQS have enormous incentives. The lease prices, I’m definitely moving back to leasing due to price volatility and technological change rate, are on par with a model X. The EQS and iX m60 did quite well in Kyle O’Connors 70...

Hertz cuts back on EV purchases

Hertz cuts back on EV purchases

If I’m not mistaken Hertz has claimed maintenance costs are higher—not my comment their‘s. I think the bigger issue is the price reductions reduces, greatly, the value of existing cars and for rental fleets they need to mark down values of assets which negatively impacts earnings. perhaps you should improve comprehension. Tesla is opening the network to all and it’s smart business. Tesla energy will become a huge profit center. Not only for Tesla branded SCs but theyre selling the equipment to other network providers.

AP isn’t that great. I’ve tried super cruise, blue cruise, Tesla FSD and for AP there is no exceptional difference. Tesla super charger network reigns supreme but I’ve already been notified by GM that they’re preparing to ship my NACS adaptor. Tesla makes the best EVs still but not...

Is the EV market about to crash? What do you think?

@gsmith123 non-EV only makers have scaled back significantly. They have reduced investments in new factories and co-investments with battery manufacturers. The market does not grow exponentially but incrementally And the rate of growth shrunk significantly. Loss of incentives and interest...

Is the EV market about to crash? What do you think?

Rate of growth is slowing. This the market has taken a significant hit. Not watching that video by the way. However this time last year a base model s was 96 grand and now it’s 74. The model X is down about 30 grand. Other manufacturers are offering monster incentives. A Mercedes Eqs 450...
