Federal Clean Energy Tax Credit for Battery Backup, with Cybertruck?

I work from home so I can also honestly say the primary location of the battery (>50% of the time) is at home serving as battery backup. Also, like most of us shopping for this truck we don't qualify for the vehicle tax credit. So I'm not going to stack.

Federal Clean Energy Tax Credit for Battery Backup, with Cybertruck?

Can I get the 30% federal clean energy tax credit for home battery backup if I buy a Cybertruck? I've Googled it and can't find an answer if V2H qualifies. As someone potentially in the market for home battery backup, the CT is compelling. With its ~130 kWh battery that's roughly the equivalent...

2022.40.4.1 am I screwed out of FSD beta?

False! Subscribed first thing yesterday morning after the news. Opted in. Still nothing. 2022.40. I get it that’s not the branch, but if they’re not going to downgrade us when why say it’s available to all!!? My money is wasting away.

    Missing USB Ports

If anyone was worried that all recent cars were coming without USB ports like I was, I can assure you that's not the case! OD 7/20 - took delivery of a LR on 11/19 - all USB ports and wireless charging are installed. And wow - the grin factor is real! I feel like an iPhone owner from 2007...

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Decided to just accept delivery tomorrow - sorry for hating earlier on those also accepting before 2022. :/ I have $48,990 locked in and one SA told me Tesla could cancel my order if I refuse delivery again. So I decided not to risk it. If the bill passes I'll just buy a second one. ;) I...

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Hah no idea. I called - explained why I wanted to delay until Jan 1 - and he said "The best I can do for your is a 30 day hold." He was noncommittal about whether I'd get delivery soon after or would be pushed to the back of the line, so I told him I'd think about it can call back.

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Thanks. I just spoke to one and he said since I have a VIN assigned I can do a 30 day hold. I asked him if he was certain that holds after VIN assignments were different than holds prior to VIN assignments and he said he didn't believe so. I asked if that meant I'd go to the back of the line...

    Washington State Waiting Room

Cross posted in the main thread but looking for local advice here: I now have the "accept Tesla vision" prompt but I don't want delivery until Jan 1. Has anyone worked with an experienced and helpful local SA I can call directly for trustworthy advice?

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Hey guys please help - I now have a "accept Tesla Vision" prompt on my account. Does this mean I have a VIN? I can't see it and I can't see my EDD because I haven't clicked accept yet. I don't want to take delivery until Jan 1. What happens if I delay clicking accept? How long will I have...

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Please report back what you learn! I agree I think it's foolish for anyone to take a car before there is clarity. Even a 10% chance of the bill passing is worth $800 bucks until we know definitively one way or the other. I'm going to get a VIN any day now and will be following what you learn.

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

Oh man I got the same update this morning Nov 20-Dec 20 -> Nov 16-Nov 26. I'm also in WA. Wonder if they have a big delivery arriving in Seattle on the 16th. No VIN yet though. But now I'm stressing. I was really happy with Dec 20 as I figured it'd be easy to say I was out of town and unbale to...

I'm on your side on this one, OP. You have a right to ask this question.

    Realistic prices for Model Y?

How much could I sell a brand new MY LR base for with 0 miles do you think? Wondering if I should flip as soon as I take delivery?

Delivery times of Tesla Model-Y (June-July orders)

I'm also locked in at $5k less ($48,990 base)! Just pure luck based on when my reservation went on hold. I moved to active early July and now just waiting.

    $7000 Tax Credit in 2021 - retroactive?

Biden is killing me with the wait! I philosophically cannot bring myself to buy the Model YP that I want until we get some real clarity on the tax credit issue. It's July - weren't we supposed to have clarity one way or another by now!? Arg. Yea I know some of you are like "buy the car you want...

    Model S Owner Age

Would it make you guys feel better about the precision of this obviously important poll if I changed the prompt to "If you use this forum and own a Model S, how old are you?"
  17. R

    Model S Owner Age

lol. You can keep it anonymous just wanted to see the average through the poll results.

    Model S Owner Age

IF you (1) own a Model S AND (2) use this forum, how old are you? (Yes I know there was a previous poll about this but it was limited to asking whether you were over or under 45.)

Yea figured. I think I need to delay the dream until I'm a homeowner. Ah well.

SM to DTLA Commute via CP Lane

Thanks. Google maps says the commute would be about 35 min during rush hour each way. Sound right? My alternative is to get a place in DTLA (although there are a million other options too). From what I've read online the South Park area is nice. Off the top of your head do you know if many...

Renters of Apartments/Condos - Share w/ Us Your Experiences

How many of you bought a Model S before you bought a home? Can you share your experiences as a MS owner living in a rented apartment or condo? Did any unexpected consequences or disadvantages arise? Was it hard/expensive to get a charging station installed? Did you have to share the charging...

SM to DTLA Commute via CP Lane

Hi all. Moving to LA this summer and I have a few questions. If my commute were from Santa Monica to DTLA would the CP sticker save me any time? Or are all lanes on the 10 jammed during rush hour? What about CP lanes on all highways in general during rush hour. Will a CP sticker make much of a...

Subjective Question: Minimum Annual Salary to Buy Perf 85kWh w/options

Thx for sharing! Funny. I always thought that it was the opposite. Like your car should at least never be worth more than half of your annual salary. Thus 180K would be the bare minimum acceptable salary. As I think back about it, I cannot remember where I got that idea in my head though. This...

Subjective Question: Minimum Annual Salary to Buy Perf 85kWh w/options

Me: Want to own this car but feel my annual income might be too low. I could technically afford it and still live my same life (albeit with far less $ going to savings), but I'm concerned about being judged by co-workers and peers as someone who spent more money on a car than he should at his...
