    Accessories

Since I last posted on this thread I’ve fitted not only the trunk stuff and the door seals but also the stuff for the roof edges and also work on sealing the A pillars where they meet the front wings. Cumulative results are it all makes a difference not huge but noticeable. Most noticeable is...

Hit by parking charge at Northampton UK supercharger

Totally agree a council fine is a very different beast to a PCN from the scumbag companies running the parking protection rackets. I’ve experienced their tactics on a couple of occasions and ignored them completely with no comeback whatsoever. Council stuff I’ve appealed on 3 occasions and won 2...

Question for UK Model 3 LR AWD Owners

No for mostly the same reasons as above however I’m tempted by the “upgrade” but £1500 means it’s not that important right now

    Scheduled charging restricted to 16A

We use Pod-Point at work and I only ever get 30amp on any of the 3 chargers there as well

    Scaremongering?

I’m presuming that every one saw the recent video of the X ripped in half in America I didn’t notice any flames in that incident if that had been an ice I suspect the emergency crews would have been hosing and otherwise contains multiple litres of highly flammable liquid in no time flat

    Headlights in France

From everything I’ve read you are correct the beam pattern appears to be symmetrical so should not trouble anyone regardless of which side of the road they drive

    M3 is a BMW, people

Actually BMW have made a car called the 3 series not the M3 the M3 in various guises is a sub set of the 3 series with attributes of the Famous BMW Motorsport badge. Some have been totally deserving of the M Sport badge others not so. BMW do not do a Model 3 end of debate

Lights, switching to left-hand drive, DRL, parking lights

Hi I’ve seen this question about the lights before and the consensus was the the dipping beam pattern is pretty symmetrical so no adjustment is required. My observation agrees with that assertion but how legal it is I can’t say

    Accessories

I’ll let you know at the weekend from posts on the America forums evidence seems to be that the boot is a large source of noise especially road noise so hopefully it will be of some benefit as that’s the most intrusive sound I experience depends on road surface of course

Tesla Model 3 SatNav; SWMBO had enough it's navigating to the wrong places

Depends where you live. My postcode covers an entire village of around 50 residences spread over a square mile or so. This includes houses up dirt tracks and various drives and only 2 named streets!

If I get a flat tire in UK what’s my options?

To get you home best option is probably AA or RAC they’ve saved my ass a few times I’ve had punctures in a car with no spare provided they all car a very funky space saver wheel that seems capable of adjusting to fit pretty much anything but is definitely only a get you somewhere to get it fixed...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Just heard from Tusker that they estimate my delivery for an LR in red and black will be late February. I’m guessing that they base this on information from Tesla. Ordered mid October according to them

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Thanks all much appreciated. I couldn’t find a manual so thanks again. Not clear where I got the info on the 16amp limit but clearly wrong. I must admit the whole wall charger thing looks like a bit of a ripoff to me but I guess prices will fall as demand increases Must admit I’m running out...

Here's how to charge with 32A commando in UK

Hi All First post here yet to order a M3 but doing the research on the supporting requirements like charging I understand the Gen 2 UMC supplied with the M3 was limited to 16 amp regardless of the capability of the socket it’s plugged into is that not correct? The reason I ask is because I...
