Quick update on my delivery delays. According to my delivery advisor they pushed an older version of the firmware to the car (S P100D)and that was causing service alerts. That is why I missed my 3/27 pickup date. That one stung. As of today 3/29 at 11:11AM - they are now pushing a new version...

My delivery was scheduled for last Tuesday at 10:15AM. Didn't happen, they called me at around 8:30AM to tell me that they started a firmware update that would take most of the day. Bummed. Felt like a kid being told on Christmas eve that there was to be no Christmas the following day...

I wonder if cameras are not consistent across different year/models. My Model S camera is pretty great. The Model 3 is "less great".

I disagree. Maybe something is wrong with my camera but it is pretty much unusable in anything other than super bright sunny days.

This is gonna seem odd... but the iPhone snaps look better than the actual image on the M3 screen. I think it lightened up the very dark screen. I will take more photos/videos soon.

I owe you guys more pictures video. I couldn't even use it backing down our long driveway today. Couldn't see a thing it was so dark. They Model S makes it look like daylight.

Hello. Took delivery last night. I am pretty happy with the car but have a few issues that bug a bit. I just noticed they took away the web browser, not a big deal. Also, do you have to slam your doors to close them... I do. Don't get me started about the backup camera (I just posted about that).

Harsh title, I know. It's true though. For a bit of context, I already own a Model S and love the backup camera. I know, the M3 isn't the MS... but wow... the M3's backup camera is seriously awful. There is a terrible fisheye effect going on and the camera is so dark, in both day and night...

The gap between the headlight and the bumper is super tight (light touching painted bumper) on the passenger side and on the drivers side it has a decent sized gap. Not the end of the world... but doesn't make me happy. Will address with service and see if it is fixable.
