The loan is paid to your bank account. But be careful as EST will not send funds if they find out you have paid for the car more than the cost of the initial deposit. You can try and be cheeky about it, but they also require proof of payment within 60 days of sending the loan funds, so not sure...

Last leg, phone them and email them to chase them up, after this its “funds sent” and mine were sent Thursday afternoon and in my bank on Saturday.

The payment run is Tues/Wed/Thurs I believe so even if its the week starting 23rd, they wont be sending funds til at least 24th. If they do send on 24th you should be well within the time frame to receive them for a second delivery date which you get 7 days later if I'm not mistaken.

I believe after that its 'claim being checked' where it goes to management for final approval. It was about 10 days between "claim being checked" and "funds sent" for me.

I just ticked the box on confused.com that says 'does this vehicle have a dashcam' - i thought id try clicking it since i can have sentry on all the time...... it drops my premium by about £400 per year. Does anyone see an issue with this? Is Sentry considered a proper dashcam?

I was told on the phone yesterday they cant retro-apply referral code. Even though I have heard differently on here. Guy from Tesla on the call refused point blank that it could be done. I’ll try at Edinburgh on collection day and see if I get any luck.

You can just email Tesla and ask for it. They were happy even to give me an invoice that said TBC in the delivery date box to keep EST happy. They gave me that a week or 2 ago thankfully or would have never got the loan processed in time.

Just be careful, if Tesla give you a final invoice with a delivery date before the EST funds are transferred, EST will not transfer you the funds. They refuse to send you funds for a car that you have already taken delivery of!

You will get a delivery date and then a second chance 7 days after it, if you don't take it by the second date they re-allocate to someone else. I offered to pay half the bill in cash and they said no thanks there are others waiting with the full amount ready. It was no discussion really.
