    Granny charger

I would add that you replace with a socket from a quality manufacturer, my default is 'MK' and would suggest you stay away from the cheap brands.

    Crazy low residuals?

There are quite a few motorbikes where the engine forms a structural part of the vehicle, no problems swapping the engine out. I have no doubt some cottage industry will spring up to remove/replace the few defective cells to match the rest of the pack, all that is required is a need. Imagine...

    Service Fraud

I don't think you are being unreasonable. Strange that the clunking disappeared for a few weeks only to return as roll bar bushes issue. Fingers crossed the get all of the gremlins this time.

Is that what's called thinking outside or inside the box :)

Trade in Values from Tesla (& other dealers)

Interesting options, I just had a look on AutoTrader and there are currently considerably more Porsche Taycan's for sale (495) than Tesla M3's (424). 50 of them are private sales with some having less than 20 miles on them, for their sake I hope they weren't playing at being speculators. Lots...

How long can it sit at 100%

I know of a Skoda Enyaq that's been sitting in a showroom with a single figure charge level for months. I'll bet when they do finally charge it they will charge to 100% and leave it at that for the unsuspecting purchaser.

    Controversial Opinion?

And as we all know they rarely if ever bother to put the marks right before moving the car on despite charging you for them, just look at the delays for used Tesla's over on another thread. A lot of the delays are being blamed on cosmetic damage rectification.

    [UK] Price cuts

Isn't that just under £36k,,,, If it continues will we see Southern Imports back on the cards. I've bought a few Southern Imports over the years two of them were in Punts mind, but achieved substantial savings over what the stealers in the North were demanding. Current steed was bought via...

I guess we will just have to agree that I can disagree 🙃

    [UK] Price cuts

The £5k discounts on M3 LR have all disappeared so back up to £51k. To be fair there are precious few cars on the website so providing Tesla are listing them all they did shift most of the LR's! Stacks of SR+/RWD kicking about though albeit quite a few with miles on them, are they delivering...

    Tesla Referral Relaunch

I didn't get this from his post that I quoted no matter how many times I read it but agree with you, makes sense to try referrals to boost sales where there are cars to sell in addition to price cuts of course. Isn't there a post saying referrals are active down under? Difficult to remove...

    Tesla Referral Relaunch

Ahhh gotcha. I have NEVER 'down voted' you but I have on occasion disagreed with you, not always mind you, but just like 'The News of the World' you have never been one for letting the truth stand in the way of embellishing your narrative. It is funny that you mention that of course as...

    Tesla Referral Relaunch

I quoted it for you above just to be sure, you really are a Muskovite, spout any old nonsense then claim you were right all along 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Have orders dipped, of course not Tesla had just decided to keep hundreds of cars in stock for the next sales drive so no one was disappointed. No way they...

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

Like a few others I now find myself in a position to be looking at Tesla's with a view to purchase rather than idle interest. Well in as much as they are still around £30k ish for a second hand car, I honestly don't know how a lot of people can afford their lifestyles but I digress. I'm from...

M3 been in bodyshop for 5+ months - both batteries dead

Simple and elegant solutions are often the best. The voltage drop on a 3500 mile cable would be such that it wouldn't work.

    Refreshed Model 3 imminent

That isn't a disguise that is the new PPF Option which ole Muskey says will be available from Q3, he neglected to say which Q3.

    2020 Model 3 Performance v 2021 Model 3 Standard Range

Looks like Agnew AutoExchange Ladas Drive. They seem to still have a few May 2020 M3P's kicking about but much cheaper now.

    Electrical genius required?

Bit late to the party on this one and have been speed reading so apologies if I've missed some electrical genius. My guess is probably harmonic distortion or/and voltage drop. Either way a UPS will fix either of those issues AND allow your gates to operate during a power cut. Win/Win as...

I for one am greatly looking forward to all of these £20k M3's that should now be appearing.

Model 3 locking nuts - Halfords

The Aero Cover certainly covers the Hub area but I wouldn't be so sure it seals it. Like I said I remember when wheel trims didn't exist but Hub caps certainly did, who didn't use an Austin Hub Cap as a frisbee back in the day like these wee fella's...

low pressure one tyre, no obvious damage

An alternative to spit is to acquire some 'Leak Detection Fluid. I've worked in various industries and remember chatting to a gas fitter years ago who was pressure testing a system with a squirty bottle of 'Leak Detection Fluid. Turns out LDF in this case was a solution of washing up liquid...

Model 3 locking nuts - Halfords

A 'Hub Cap' covers the hub, funnily enough. A 'Wheel Trim' covers the wheel. When wheel trims first showed up and folk were removing their HUB CAPS the items they replaced them with were called WHEEL TRIMS. There is a hint in each description. Thanks to @MrT3 For the price estimate. I have...

Model 3 locking nuts - Halfords

Possibly but equally they are not likely to put it back on either if they had removed it to check for locking nuts. So how much is a TESLA plastic hub cap, I feel ancient calling it a 'hub cap' when in reality it is a wheel trim. Haven't seen hub caps fitted to cars since my Pops 1984 Austin...

    Moral Maze

I would suggest the Auction House are in Circus terms somewhere between 'Monkeys & Clowns'. Either way I doubt there is anything you can or should do, in my experience the chances that you will actually speak to anyone who cares is minimal.

Can't remove water spots from paintwork

We have all been there so don't be too hard on yourself. Sounds to me that you may have two problems. A combination of the Polar Seal and water spots. The advice earlier of speaking to AutoGlym helpline is quite valid. A lot of the other advice is or may also be valid however I would be...

Wife, kids and dogs in a M3?

I really Don't think that you are over thinking it. Dogs love to roll and on occasion sheep/cow/fox crap, fish guts are all possible. Many's a time our Cairn Terrier came home in the boot of our Primera saloon! This is one of the issues I have with a Model 3, of course the main issue is that...

    Thinking of making an offer

I'm getting quotes under £400 which is only about £160 more than I'm paying at the minute. Quite a difference in percentage terms but very little in absolute terms. There are many things that affect insurance and group is only one of them, I suspect age has more of an affect in this instance.
  37. E

Why do UK customers have to pay so much more than US customer for a TELSA? e.g. A model 3 performance costs $54.500 in UK we have the cost is $82.000!

ISTR you could buy a RHD specified vehicle made on mainland Europe even when you shouldn't have been able to but I suppose Brexit will have stopped that. IF, and it's a big IF, when Tesla Berlin comes online will you have another option box (like Porsche) to choose factory collection 😉

    Thinking of making an offer

Checked insurance costs on a M3P, just to be sure. I was pleasantly surprised to find CTM reckon it won't cost much more than our Tucson. Never understood the eijits that go test drive a car and fall in love only to later CLAIM that the insurance costs are prohibitive, or the wife has said NO!

    Thinking of making an offer

I agree that credit can be very helpful, current steed came with £2,000 finance contribution and £500 test drive bonus. I would be making a straight sale though using some savings. I could easily live without all/any of the above although the extra warranty buying a new one has to be worth...

Thinking of making an offer on this, anyone know the car or how to check it wasn't returned due to issues as opposed to simply a change of circumstances. Any advice greatly appreciated as it is WAY out of my comfort zone price wise...

    BMW I4 prices and specs

I wonder what market they focused on. If it is successful in the USA or China but a flop in the UK then I fully believe BMW will be ecstatic. Whereas if it is successful in the UK but a flop in the USA/ China then BMW will most probably be bankrupt. Perhaps a slightly more subtle grille ala...

Just because Teslas can (but beware the reputation)

Audi is the thinking man's BMW, but must not be ordered with indicators to remain authentic. After all why indicate sure everyone should know where you are going.

Just because Teslas can (but beware the reputation)

Could it be an ownership issue. There a lot of M3's on company car schemes/leased/ pcp'd. Any company car drivers I have ever known drive like complete and utter bell-ends which amazes me as they rely on their licence for their living. I'm on another forum for Boxsters and this same topic...

Tyre slip over wet white lines

Couldn't agree more and it applies to a lot more components such as bearings, brake pads (different bedding in procedure admittedly), batteries, gear assemblies etc. etc. Given the choice of a car considerately run in with respect and one run in by Johnny Mc' twit who doesn't own it and...

Tyre slip over wet white lines

When I was in PCGB we used to get technical talks AND the advice above is CORRECT i.e. Allow at least 100 miles before you drive like you stole it. Motorbike tyres need particular care for the same reasons. Would be interested in which manufacturer is claiming their tyres 'are good to go...
