How to stop FSD from changing lanes

I’m having the same problem with changing lanes on 2 lane highway where a l of a sudden there in other lane added for a right or even left lane turn and the car just sit without warning. I disengage every time so I can answer the why did you disengage question. Maybe someone is listening to...

    HW4 Phantom Braking

I’m currently on a road trip with my 2020 M3 and having lots of phantom braking issues. I live in a metro area and I never have this problem. It usually occurs in wide open spaces with no one in front of me. Going east or west on sunny days is when it has happened to me. I’ve found that if I...

    Supercharger - Grass Valley, CA (LIVE 25 May 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

“Then there will be a handful of souls who like to take SR49 north out of Nevada City to Downieville and over the hill to Sattley, Graeagle, Clio, and perhaps even to Portola and Lake Davis.” I’m one of those people. I used to go up to Truckee on 80 to charge, then head over to Clio to camp...

    Supercharger - Grass Valley, CA (LIVE 25 May 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

Visited today and still no transformer. I’ve witnessed the same situation previously so I know that PGE can sometimes take months to install a transformer.

Sub Par Service Experience @ Tesla Renton (Seattle)

With my 3 year old M3, I’ve had my car into a service center only once And service was fine. That was to replace a parking sensor after I hit a piece of truck tire that knocked the sensor out. I’ve had 3 other maintenance issues. Replaced 12v battery (warranty), tire rotation, and rear light...

    Canada - FSD rollout

I got your first chance to use it this morning and and on several occasions it would wave right and left inside the lane markers. On one occasion it decided to move into a left turn lane before turning on the blinker and getting back into the original lane. I‘be had good luck with the last...

Sub Par Service Experience @ Tesla Renton (Seattle)

My suggestion that you sell your Tesla was only about your attitude. I thought life would be easier for you without Tesla. After reading your 2 posts you appear to be taking both sides of the service issue.

Wow. You are not a happy camper. Maybe you should sell your Tesla.

    iPhone key issues

I have 15.3 and the only problem I ever have is when my phone is in my back pack and as soon as I turn sideways the car unlocks. sine The connection is Bluetooth, maybe that’s the issue.

Blog Tesla Planning to Triple Supercharger Network

I also would like to see more locations. I’m planning a trip up 395 and the distance between super chargers in Alturas, Ca and Hines, OR is 190 miles. That’s quite a haul for a standard range And I see only 1 level 2 on PlugShare in between those 2 chargers.

Any of you have 100/99 scores still not get any FSD till today?

I’m at 98 due mostly to hard braking even though I rarely use the brakes and when I do I don’t recall any hard braking by my standards. I don’t actually care when I get the beta and I don’t want this scoring to affect my normal droving. I think the longer I have to wait to get it, the better...

Keeping 12V on to power eCooler

That’s interesting. One week after camping with a 12 volt ice chest plugged in, I also got a message that the battery needs to be replaced. Being replaced tomorrow.

    12v fridge power

I also have a 12v frig. My experience is that the 12 volt plug turns off when the car turns off. Camp mode, will keep it on all night but if you stop during the day and your car turns off so does 12 volt plug.

    Supercharger - Susanville, CA (LIVE 29 Sep 2021, 8 V3 stalls)

I’m from the Sacramento area and am anxious for Susanville, Alturas and Burns to open up as I plan a trip to Yellowstone. I know there are other and faster routes but this is the one I want. Can’t wait.

    Disaster Averted!!

I was on a road with no shoulder driving about 25 mph and I steered the car to the right to avoid a pothole. As my tire got on the white line, the car screeched at me and steered back between the lines. I wasn’t in danger of driving off the road but apparently the car thought I was.

Winter Road Trip: SoCal to Utah

Thanks for the posting this. I’ve been through the gorge south of St George and Zion. Both are spectacular and I plan on seeing Bryce and other parks in Utah soon. We just returned from a 7300 mile trip from Sacramento to Florida and back. Not a lot of Tesla’s on the road outside of California...

Blog Tesla May License Self-Driving Software to Other Automakers

If you're an OEM and you know you are many years behind in developing this software, it would make sense to license Tesla's. If you're the first to do this, you have a big sales advantage. This would then force others to consider this option as well.

Precondition car plugged in vs not plugged in

I also was concerned about range degradation and scheduled an appointment to have the batteries checked. Here is the response I got from the service center. On Nov 10, 2020, at 12:38 PM, Katie Mulock <[email protected]> wrote: Hello, This is Katie, from Tesla Rocklin. We have ran a battery...

Ultimate EV Road Trip - Circumnavigating North America

I carry a small 12 volt air pump purchased on Amazon for $30.00 which works great and has been a lifesaver. When I just want the tires all checked and filled I go to Firestone. They will do it quickly and for free. I think most tire stores will do this.

    Need help with buying decision

I'd go with FSD over long range. The only time you need the range is when going on a trip. How often will you do that? Also all the major highways have plenty of Superchargers so no need for extra range. The full self driving is great on a highway trip - so much more relaxing and the cost is...

    Supercharger - Lincoln, CA (LIVE 14 Oct 2020, 8 V3 stalls)

The sidewalk next to the transformer across the street is torn up so it looks like the transformer work is in process.

    Supercharger - Lincoln, CA (LIVE 14 Oct 2020, 8 V3 stalls)

Nice to see all the work going on there. Looks like the time is near after months of inaction. I'll enjoy seeing how fast these V3 chargers are but I doubt I'll use it much as its so close to where I live.

    Full self driving capability

I bought my Model 3 in January and paid the extra $7,000 for FSD because I wanted it and could afford it. No other explanation is needed for anyone.

Tesla to Raise FSD Price by $1,000

I'm surprised at so many here are upset with the FSD price. Obviously, it'll never get to $100,000 or close to it. Elon is just stating the value to someone who has a robotaxi. I don't know what the price should be but I assume it has to do with the cost of the investment to program this plus a...

Blog Tesla Publishes ‘Getting Back to Work’ Plan

It makes sense to move the headquarters out of California for tax reasons but they have a lot invested in the Fremont plant and I don't see them moving anytime soon. I used to live in Fremont and remember the previous closures.

Sheltering in Place - Charge or not

I am staying at home also but I do enjoy a ride everyday just to have a change of pace if not to see something new or forgotten.
