An alternative way of asking your question - Has anyone with a '16 or '17 had their battery replaced under warranty due to degradation (not failure)? If so, can they share what percentage of degradation they were at when Tesla authorized the replacement.

If you go into service mode and do a reinstall of the old firmware version it forces a download of the prior version. Does that then drop the version that was waiting to be installed?

Anybody have success on MCU1? I picked up the CD player, but my MCU1 shows the USB FAT32 partition as corrupted. Laptop sees the CD player with no issues as a FAT32 drive.

@paalw - Did you ever find out which fuse was causing the error message? I've the got error message now after doing something similar with a 12v adaptor and ODB2. I'm going to check F236 later today, but curious if there is another fuse to check.

You could pull out the card from the MCU, but it also has the 4G, and GPS on it, so you'll lose those. Maybe try disconnecting the WIFI antenna on the card first and see if that impairs it enough.

Older X's don't have cards. The key fobs allow entry even when the battery is dead if you place next to the sensor on the car.

Can't speak about the MS, but I recommend the move to the same four tires. I switched to the MX winter 19x8.5 rims two years ago and get better range and longer wear/life. I rotate them every 5 or 6K and I also keep a 5th spare in the back of my five seater which has saved me on road trips.
