Why a M3 can draw different amounts of current using Tesla wall connector (48 amp) vs. NEMA 14-50 (32 amp)? Is it some component(s) on the car that decides this current value?

Can I ask when you ordered your MY? My understanding is same as yours. Only $100 is nonrefundable and all others shall be refunded. Otherwise, per the information on Tesla’s website, they would have committed a fraud.

If I cancel my order before delivery or return a vehicle in 7 days after delivery, will Tesla refund the transportation fee? I saw different answers at different places. Can anybody please confirm? Thanks.

Yep, this is my biggest concern. If the break was somehow caused by a deformation of the frame, replacing the glass may or may not fix the actual problem.

Thank you for your input. A follow up question: do you think, by replacing the roof glass, they might actually fix the assembly/stress problems that otherwise would not have been discovered? I don’t know if you’re aware of other folks with similar experience - having the roof glass broken...

So I was ready to pick up my MY this morning. Inspections went well, there were some minor paint chips and slight misalignment of a tail light. I asked them to fix the tail light before acceptance, which should not take long. On my way home, they called and told me the roof glass was broken...

Carmax so-called touch free appraisal process just means they give an appraisal without getting into you car and test drive. You still need to bring in your car for inspection. During the inspection, you keep the doors and hood open, keep the engine running, and step outside and stand aside...

Yes, if you read the early replies to this post, several folks said so. In my case, I tried to contact Tesla to see if they’d possibly match it. I just didn’t get any response. So I went ahead to trade in it at another dealer. The dealers appraisal is $1400 higher than the Tesla offer.

I sold my car to a local dealer. I contacted Tesla asking whether they can match. No response period. So, I’m not going to rely on it anymore, given all the uncertainty around their trade in process. I’m quite disappointed so far with Tesla’s customer service.

How did you get in contact with the “delivery associate”? Did they contact you in the first place? Same here, I got a text message from Tesla asking me to submit all the trade in information ASAP in order to get an early delivery. If I have known all the tricks, I might wait a little longer...

That’s too bad. If they simply decide not to match carmax, I can understand. But if the offer drops value b/c of a belated delivery caused by them, that doesn’t seem reasonable.

Does Tesla still match the Carmax appraisal offer? i saw different answers, could someone clarify with their recent experience? In addition, Tesla says its trade-in offer is good for 30 days. But if my MY is delivered outside that time window , will they still honor their trade-in offer?
