Should Tesla fully refund FSD owners in UK

Interested to gauge opinion here based on Ed’s recent FSD small claims thread.

Software Update Required, APS_w160, Schedule Service

Car updated to 32.4 yesterday. No issues. However this amber warning came up a few minutes ago. Any idea what it means?

Anyone have an OBC replaced outside warranty

Looks like the OBC in our 2017 Model X has gone kaput. So no AC charging. DC is fine. Tesla quoting 3.74 hours labour for general diagnosis (0.5 hour) and remove & replace (3.24 hours) at £165+VAT plus the cost of the OBC @ £1,960. They chucked in a 'free' 20 minutes labour for remote diagnosis...

    Service Fraud

At what point does it go from an “honest mistake” to become outright deception and fraud? Long story short: model X goes into service at Tesla Tottenham end of April with a severe front end clunk and suspension dropping to its stops overnight. Fault diagnosed, as faulty valve block, leading to...

    Weird rear light sequence…

Pulled up behind my doppelgänger MX near Angel, London a few weeks ago and was trying to work out what the heck was going on with its rear lights…. Either Fremont had an especially bad day or someone’s been playing in the loom… Had a look on mine and no matter what combo of park, foot on...

SMETS2 capable 3-phase meters (and energy suppliers!)

Now then. I'm aware that Octopus and Good Energy have had direct measuring (as opposed to indirect/CT measuring) 3-phase SMETS2 compliant meters available to swap for a little while now for (up to 100A-per phase) supplies , but 1. Are there any other energy suppliers offering these now? 2...

Instavolt 120kW chargers - what’s your best Tesla charge rate/output?

Fairly sure the 120 kW units at MaccyD’s, Costa etc are limited to around 80 kW output for Tesla’s by dint of their 200A current limit when charging 400V cars. I tried this morning with a pre-con’d battery on the way to being warm around 30% SoC and 9C outside. The car was getting around 66 kW...

    Model X frunk release dead

Has anyone else had their frunk release die? Either mine is frozen (will try a gentle hairdryer revival later) or it’s kaput. [Painful given I need to refill the screen-wash, so it’s a manual splash and wipe at the moment. Tiresome in the slush]

Model X - creaking suspension / worn front control arms

Hi - My car has developed quite creaky front suspension in the last week or so @ 54K miles. Without putting it on the hoist, I’m presuming it’s going to be worn front susp. control arms. Has anyone has this done at the SC recently, (presumably out of warranty)? Am I looking at the thick end of...

    Parts supply delays

I've been waiting for parts for a non-functioning drivers door for over a month now. Its getting quite tedious and service have absolutely no idea where the parts are (still in the US, in transit etc). All they can do is reschedule the appointment until October, in the vain hope parts will...
