    What's the latest on All-Seasons for 21"

I just bought 4 - 295x35R21 tires from Costco so I could get the $150 off Michelin deal. I was going to have them install just 2 of the tires since I really only need rear tires. And it turns out anything AS4 that would fit in the front is sold out at Costco. If anyone in SoCal wants the other 2...

Anyone else having to reprogram their side mirrors constantly?

Well I had an appointment scheduled for tomorrow but canceled it as the problem seems to have fixed itself. FWIW no repairs were made. The problem just went away on its own. Was having another issue having to reboot to get the radio working several times and that seems to have gone away, too.

Anyone else having to reprogram their side mirrors constantly?

So I couldn't replicate it by changing from drive to reverse and vice versa. But I was able to replicate it by changing to my wife's profile and then my profile. But this is not normally how the problem is created because we just created her profile a few days ago and it's been happening well...

Anyone else having to reprogram their side mirrors constantly?

My side mirrors keep losing their memorized position. This is even when I only had one profile. Having 2 profiles now did not fix it either as switching between the 2 profiles does not return the mirrors to their original position. I have managed to reproduce the problem and took a video of it...

Tesla Model Y Windows Shatters on its Own

This does happen. Someone posted it on the MY FB group. But it's not unique to Tesla either. If you do some research you'll find many other brands that had the same issue. It might be Tesla's glass supplier is having quality issues making it more common. It's more widespread with tempered glass...

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

Just got my wall connector today. Came with firmware 0.8.55+gf94eafcd564fe0. Haven't driven the car so I cannot attest to the charging behavior but will see this weekend.

Gen 3 Wall Connector 3 red blinks fault code

Tesla tech sent me this email today. I wanted to take a moment to respond before I leave for the weekend. It looks like our case is still being reviewed for a replacement, but I went ahead and staged another (new) firmware 1.3.0 that will eliminate most of the fold back (adjusted amperage), if...

Best / Quickest At home hand wash?

I like using my foam cannon but it's quite a bit of extra work to get the pressure washer and deal with the hoses and cleanup so I only use it for a deep wash. I prefer to bucket wash and if you really want to cut down your car wash chores you can do frequent dusting with a California Duster and...

    SoCal 240V Circuit Install Info

I know people in the insurance business from the agents to the adjusters. They told me this is an old wise tale that they've never seen happen. There are too many variables and the worst they've seen happen is that you get dropped after you get paid out. You can search around and draw your own...

    Back Hatch Loading area protection?

I haven't bought one for my car yet, but you can find these cargo mats on Amazon that are for pets. Some of them will have a fold out that will cover the bumper. When you're done you just fold it back in. I have one on my Volvo SUV and it works great. It's not custom, but doesn't bother me at all.

Vendor Presale Discounts Model Y - PPF, Ceramic Coatings, Real Carbon Fiber, Tint, Powder Coating...More

I got your quote the other day Doug, will be dropping off my car at MDR after my service appointment with Tesla. They keep postponing me because they have to get the new headlights and I can't do PPF till they fix the paint overrun problems on the front fenders.

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

You can try running 4 gauge romex, it's good for 70 amps. You have to make sure the breakers you use will take 4 gauge, I think they have some at HD. I initially tried to run 4 gauge and realized it didn't fit in the breaker I bought but I remember they had a breaker there that it would fit. I...

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

Just for reference, bulk 6 gauge THHN sold at Home Depot is $0.75 per foot. 60 amp 2 pole breaker is around $11.

Changing breaker size on wall connector

You cannot do it from your normal home network. I had to hold the button on the charging cable for 5 seconds to broadcast the wifi from the wall connector. Connect to the wall charger wifi, If you provisioned it yourself, your phone will have the password for the wifi saved hopefully. From...

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

I bought the wire cut to length. I had a short 2 foot run. So I bought 4 feet of 6 gauge THHN black wire and cut it into 2 pieces. Then I bought a 2 foot cut of green 6 gauge for ground, I know others are using 8 gauge. I didn't want to end up with extra so no need to buy a roll.

    MY Performance

I think it's just a matter of time. It's significantly slower than the 3 and I think that gap is too big.

    SoCal 240V Circuit Install Info

Some people do the NEMA outlet with their install. Maybe that's something you don't need. I've done a fair amount of electrical in my life. I think the wall charger looks cleaner without an extra outlet. This is something any electrician can do, you don't need a Tesla certified installer. I...
