Anyone accidentally done this to steering wheel?

It has full range once they replaced the part.

Anyone accidentally done this to steering wheel?

I ended up having Tesla Mobile Service come out and replace the part.

Made a mistake while replacing steering wheel... any advice?

This is very easy to avoid, if you just pay attention. You need to unplug BOTH the cables in the wheel from the center console of the wheel. As long as you do that, this won’t happen. It’s when you pull the wheel off and still have a plug connected that this happens. I’ve replaced several...

Anyone accidentally done this to steering wheel?

Has anyone accidentally pulled the cable out while changing a steering wheel? (See pic) If so, how did you fix this? Thanks

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

Yes, picking my car up from the installers and being told it does not work was very frustrating. Then many days of diagnosing for problems at home. To Hansshow’s credit, they were in continuous contact with me via WhatsApp and FaceTime (Granted, it was middle of the night here given their...

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

SOLVED! Ok, here’s the deal on the v4. At least for mine. On the signal plug wire, it comes pre-wired with make and female plugs. I took everything apart and noticed the blue wire was in a different pin position on the male plug than the female plug, so there would be no connection when plugged...

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

Just had the Hansshow v4 installed by one of their recommended installers on Thursday and been dealing with issues and their tech support ever since. Kit will not close. Kit opens 1/2 way on first press, then rest of way on second press. Having all sorts of issues right now. Been sending pics...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Yes, the CF hood is much lighter.

How to remove small plastic lip on Model 3 rear diffuser?

The primary purpose of a rear diffuser is to efficiently increase the downforce of a vehicle, which helps increase grip and reduce aerodynamic drag. It also provides a nice look on the vehicle. It’s why you see them on race cars, for this aerodynamic benefit.

    Best DIY Project?!

I recently completed QL-38 hood pins install on my Model 3 Performance, since I didn’t want to go carbon fiber for the hood without them. Did not go the hood scoop route though.

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Went with QL-38’s and figured out my own solution for mounting. I am happy with the results.

How to remove small plastic lip on Model 3 rear diffuser?

Ended up having to take the whole rear bumper off for install, but rear diffuser on now and turned out pretty well in my opinion.

    HANSSHOW Trunk Liftgate v3 install

Has anyone had one of these kits installed in the Seattle area? I’m actually looking for recommendations of an installation shop. I see on their site they have installers in Seattle, but there’s no links or names of these shops. Thanks.

How to remove small plastic lip on Model 3 rear diffuser?

Thanks. As the service manual appears to be something not openly available, does anyone know of any posted videos of how to do this, or where this information might be posted that is available openly?

How to remove small plastic lip on Model 3 rear diffuser?

Has anyone removed, or know how to remove the small plastic lip (see picture) on the bottom of the stock rear diffuser on the Model 3 performance? It’s the small lip piece that sticks out the back. I’ve tried removing the two screws on it underneath, but still couldn’t get it off, and wondering...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Thanks. I'm thinking the Quik Latch QL-38's for the pins, as they are a relatively small footprint, strong reviews, are black so they blend with CF, and I like the locking mechanism itself. I'm feeling good with the steps on installing and have the tooling to do it, except for the identification...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Thanks. I considered a wrap and decided I'd much rather have actual CF for the hood. I'm actually fine with hood pins, and have narrowed down which ones I am considering, but am looking for input on if anyone here has done them, and if so, where they secured the hood pins to under the hood...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Thanks for the reply and info. I've seen one Model 3 with both a carbon fiber hood and trunk. There were images with both as carbon fiber, then after they did a wrap between the hood and trunk over crossbar above the windows to tie the black together, which looked really slick with the contrast...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

I've also noted this trend in the postings I've seen with Model 3 carbon fiber hoods: Manufacturers posting pictures of the carbon fiber hoods on the Model 3 with no hood pins, then when you look at the details/order pages, a note buried in there somewhere calling out the requirement for hood pins:

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Thanks. I’m considering for looks vs weight, as I have other carbon fiber parts on the car. My understanding from reading around on CF hoods is not so much the fit requiring pins, but the fact it’s the mounting bonded to the fiber that holds the latch and potential separation from the latch...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

I guess I should have been clearer with “M3,” meaning Model 3. (Tesla) Yes, I’ve seen many pictures of cars with carbon fiber hoods, some Teslas, but most carbon fiber hood manufacturers include a note about recommending hood pins. This is why I was wondering if anyone here had done it, and...

    Carbon fiber hood on M3?

Anyone here installed a carbon fiber hood on their M3? Did you use hood pins to secure? And if so, where did you secure the hood pins to the body at? Thanks in advance
