    Water Sound coming from Dashboard?

I have the same. I believe it's the windshield washer fluid.

    Bridgestone Turanza QuietTrack

Exact same boat... I noticed that my passenger side rear was wearing faster as well. Rotated front to back at 6 months and about 6000 miles. Up to 10k miles now and the rear are wearing, but not as uneven left to right as previously. I'm thinking my alignment might be off a bit. Either that...

    Model Y tinting question

I went with 35% on the front 2 and nothing on the rear. It looks good, but if I had to do it all over again I would have gotten a bit darker to match the rear. A good light ceramic on the rears probably wouldn't hurt or be noticeable if it were like 70%+.

Question about jacking up Y and changing rims

Look at the video. The Y is made the same, for puck insertion. You don't NEED to use them, but I'd recommend it. The only time that MAY not be needed if a shop has a lift with a flat lifting pad. I personally just bought them for like $20 on Amazon and put them in the shallow trunk with the...

    AWD Comparison

I had a 2019 BMW X3 with Xdrive and am also from central PA. I was happy with Xdrive in all situations, but wasn't as impressed with the stock AS runflats on there. First winter was OK, but the second started to get slick. I ended up putting the Conti DWS this spring before deciding to buy...

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

Conclusion... car is back. They put a rush on the harness since the car was not drivable. I couldn't be happier with Bill at Tesla service in Lancaster, PA.

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

Spoke with the service advisor again. Not as bad as expected. The harness should take about a week or so and he said it shouldn't be too hard to install. All in, he's thinking about $500 bucks. I'll take it.

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

The wires are completely inaccessible with out removing pieces of the frunk and undercarriage... unless you're a rodent of course. That's why I'm thinking a repellant spray with a wand that can reach behind the underbody shields and other areas.

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

Hunting them is a no go. It's in town with a ban on shooting. BB or pellets is not really a good idea either with neighbors 360 deg around the property fairly close by. And not even enough physical space to build a garage, or it would have already been done. Thoughts at this moment are the...

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

If it comes down to it, possibly. Or a spring trap.

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

So I was completely wrong. Initial inspection from the service station is squirrels chewed a few wires and were storing things inside under the frunk.:mad::mad: I love nature and never had any issues with them around the house until now. No garage so the car is permanently outside...

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

Update... so after an hour and a half on the phone with Tesla yesterday evening, several more reboots and power downs, nothing has helped. It definitely needs to go in for service to look at. Here are the new symptoms from the commute home yesterday. Indicated interior temp from the app has...

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

Yes, a 1 month old Model Y. Just tried a brake and buttons reboot, but still the same. Let's see if it's that way when I have to leave.

Outside Temp -26 Deg with limited Regen Braking

So a bit ago I head out to the car to make a quick trip to the house on my lunch break. When I get in it tells me something to the effect of "Regen Limited... braking will become available when driven" like it normally would when it's cold. I thought nothing of it although it is in the 60's...

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Given that most AWD cars on the road today have the front and rear wheels mechanically connected one way or another the circumferences need to be very close to avoid premature drivetrain wear. For example the current BMW X3 M40i has 245/40/21 fronts and 275/35/21 rear, which is pretty much...

Tesla Releases $2,000 Model Y Acceleration Boost, Shaves Half Second

I would think that range would be unaffected if driven at the same much lower than WOT style as before. Back in ICE world you can achieve the same mileage at reasonable driving because you can remap the throttle and engine throughout the rev and throttle range and have them become more...

Apple Watch App for Tesla - Thoughts?

I've been using the Watch App for Tesla for a few weeks now. Works very well. I have a shortcut on my main watch face that displays charge, sentry, and a notification symbol. I typically use it to unlock the charge port, open the frunk/trunk, or precondition the car if my hands are full or I...

Vendor Show Off Your Aftermarket Model Y Wheels

Wait a second... I'm new to Tesla with only having my Model Y for a few weeks and just realized something about the staggered tire sizes listed above in TSportline's posts. Fronts are 255/35/21 and rears are 275/35/21. Keeping the same aspect ratio but varying widths would result in different...

Do not do this! Roof Damage!

I wonder how this area will handle ice, snow, and freezing rain in the winter? o_O
