Adding a tow hitch should not delay delivery, at least it did not in my situation. As imola.zhp mentioned, the hitch is installed at the factory during the build.

If you just got your VIN then early November seems reasonable. Others who had received their VIN late last week are scheduling deliveries for end of October/early November. Yours should not be far behind.

It may depend on where you live and the type of weather you experience but leaving the cover on would prevent build up of dust/dirt/snow/ice.

I would guess arriving in Chicago Thursday/Friday. Picking up in Chicago is a possibility for Saturday but wouldn't expect anything before Monday. Which location are you picking up? I have a blue/black coming to Schaumburg.

You can buy the adjustable screen mount kit at RPMTesla. There are a few videos on youtube from people who have tried it.

My config has a tow hitch and I was matched to a VIN 2 weeks after ordering. Blue/black/19/Tow. The hitch looks like something they bolt on during build so I wouldn't think it would disqualify you getting matched right away.

Checking the Survey and Order Tracker, average VIN to Delivery for GA is 14 days.

Any MY's built beginning in October are 2021 model year.
