Hey look my 7 year old thread is still on the first page. Sorry, nothing productive to say, just getting nostalgic as we all see new highs in our accounts today. This was meant to be a safe space to get away from the general Tesla competition thread which had somehow turned into a thread on...

This is my random post to say hi I’m still here and boy has this turned out well for me. I sort of regret having no trading position through COVID but not really. OK carry on then.

They imply Democrats are in world 1 and Republicans in world 2. But Nebraska seems to be in world 1 with no gatherings of more than 10 people and schools closed. Also, only 5% of tests have been positive so these measures were taken very early.

Thanks, same to you. I’m very worried for NYC. My parents are in the NJ suburbs. Thankfully my sister is now concerned and able to convince them to not travel or volunteer at the hospital. They wouldn’t listen to me.

Out of curiosity is anyone else’s county in the US doing contact tracing? Also are exposure sites being announced? This is happening in Omaha so I’m feeling pretty lucky to be living here. Also our public schools are closed for a week and we only have 11 officially confirmed cases.

Testing allows us to know where the disease in and at what number. That can be used to determine what measures to take to slow down the disease. Slowing down the disease means ventilators and hospital beds are available for those who need them. This all has A REAL IMPACT.

There should be testing here! Also it came from China presumably before any large scale breakouts there. But we have no idea how bad it is in the US because the CDC didn’t get their act together and secure tests.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

It is an interesting question because from historical price data you can see the price tanked the day they contacted their bankruptcy lawyer so there were obviously a good number of people that knew the bankruptcy was happening and would have wanted to pump the stock to retail investors so they...

The fee rate at IB for shorting is the higher than it was before earnings. There is a good chance this means there are more shorts in at this higher price. And the volume is over 60 million now. Insane. You can’t have a VW style short squeeze of the shorts haven’t covered.

It would have been GAAP income but it is not because Tesla has no expected tax liability. If they suddenly have an expected tax liability then that GAAP income shows up. But, when the benefit is actually realized it comes out of the asset, since the income was already realized. That is how I...
