My car was waiting for charge port for about a month, and after harassing the SAs daily recently, they finally put it on my car. I'm about to figure out if my April build has the matrix or not.

About the EDD update, remember, it's the intern season ;) I think it's likely that Tesla decided to start delivering outside North America, so we got pushed back.

Today, my 05/18 - 06/08 EDD is gone and back to July. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing.. Maybe I'll get a VIN soon?

Yeah I agree, the EDD is just giving false hope. I don't know how long I've been waiting, maybe the 3rd or 4th week after the VIN was assigned and charging port waiting game started. The 233xxx range is still waiting for it at Seattle and local SC finally told me they're only receiving 1 or 2...

I think your car is one of those missing the charging port. It should already sitting at your SC waiting for the part.

yeah my data supports the same, going by manufacture date is more reliable than VIN cause the change at production line is done at some point of time instead of VIN-based. Of course when there's multiple production lines, the change may or may not happen at the same time, so it'll have mixes...

Yeah you can probably visit your local SC and check if the recently built perf models still got the new headlight. The SC I went for data collection doesn't have too many perf models there so I can't know for sure.

yeah 04/22 should still have the matrix headlight. Not sure if it's just a batch with old headlight or it's more like a long term thing.

Yeah, and we don't know how the production line was updated, so we might see some mixed headlight in certain VIN range across one or more days (like what we saw with the Ryzen chip). But from the ~20 car sample I saw, the switch happened pretty quick this time.

The date is on a window sticker on the windshield. Did you mean 411xx instead of 411xxx? I think 2411xx is using the old headlight (from the data sample I collected today)

I'm pretty confident that 239700 VIN range should still have the new matrix headlight! All of them in Seattle lot have it.

I can instantly tell it's the old headlight, it's same as my current 2018 model 3. I also saw car from 04/28 and LR ones are still using the old one. VINs are in the picture, I didn't take picture for the one with factory gate 04/28 as I'm too lazy.

Same here, my car is sitting in the SC lot waiting for charge port. Couldn't Tesla just deliver it without charging port? I think it's within spec ;)

I met with my local SA and he confirmed the same, they're waiting for the charge port. I'm in Seattle and they said the part has been shipped to SC, they just need to install it before they can deliver the car.

I'm not an insider, but I think it's making sense to mix early order with recent orders so the car margin is kept at certain range.

I think Tesla is trying to avoid that by removing the mobile connector from car so they can offset the cost increase. But if the cost keeps increasing, we'll see a price jump for sure.

I wonder if they shift some of the production capacity from s to x, the two delivery numbers sum up the same.

2021 June order and EDD get pushed to April. They're just pushing the date every month now.

Wrong, Tesla did import a bunch of MIC model 3 with LFP battery into US in 2021.

I actually think this is something Tesla doesn't do well. It used to handle very tight curves well even it's slower than a human driver, with 2020.36.x update, it just brake very hard before it runs out of the lane and returns control to me because it's too fast and can't handle the curve.
